Got a steak, only option is frying pan or oven today, wanting to cook in pan, but dont know how high to heat the pan (electric stove) & cook for how long
I am a chef and I train under a chef who held a Michelin star in England. You clearly know very little about cooking meat. The fact that you need a drip tray in your "Broil a steak in the oven" theory shows it.
that is to catch the juice dude. Frying meat destroys the cell walls and the flavor with it. that is why u need all that butter to trap in the flavour. The best way in my opinion is to grill it 41/2 minutes a side and on a plate mmmmmm
