I'm good with Hughes but I would of went with JT if it were my choice. Probably wouldn't of been a good idea though. JT as captain = dating one of those crazy chicks. It's entertaining as hell, but never ends well. Lol.

Instructors don't give out licenses. Are you talking about the ICBC road test staff?

YOU HAVE MADE OTHER POSTS ON CDC HERE AND JUST TO LET YOU KNOW....I HAVEN'T READ ANY OF THEM. TOO PAINFUL ON THE EYES. DO YOU HAVE A BROKEN KEY BOARD OR JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW THE CAPS LOCK WORKS? AT FIRST I THOUGHT IT WAS YOUR SCHTICK BEING THE HOCKEYGOD SHOUTING FROM THE HEAVENS BUT BASED ON THE RELEVANCE AND SUBSTANCE OF YOUR POSTS YOU CLEARLY ARE A JUNIOR CLERK IN THE CELESTIAL HOCKEY OFFICES JUST USING THEIR EQUIPMENT ON WEEKENDS WHEN THEY ARE AWAY
This^^^
Please respond
This is now the most important question in need of an answer on CDC

I rarely use ALL CAPS
But I did so once, decades ago, when I got fed up with Shaw and changed Shaw Customer Service on my phone to SHAW SUCKS
You should try it. It may serve as a reminder and inspire you to move to Telus
But somehow, I suspect you enjoy finding and keeping things to be angry about.
Your expression of frustration feels like an art form of sorts.
Kind of like finger painting
But without the colour.
Or the skill.
Or intellect

Literally no one will do well under this convict. This dirtbag is worse than Keenan and the team has too much character to give him any respect.
I thought you did the YVR thing and announced your departure
How much attention do you need from this place?
Seriously, get a hobby or take your toxic vampirism to the Kraken boards.
Something.
Anything.

Got through about 20 pages and it's pretty clear there's a handful of perspectives on all this and a few variations of each
The one that baffles me the most is that there seems to be quite a few who are hoping these coaching changes will result in more wins between now and the end of the season than what we would've seen from Boudreau and co.
Why is this the case? I'm so confused. It's become dreadfully clear we have zero chance of making the playoffs or going anywhere in them even if we fluked out and snuck in the back door.
Do a great many fans here not understand how the draft lottery works? Are there message board members who don't watch the IIHF world junior tourney every year or failed to see the highlights of Bedard from this year's gold medal win?
What planet am I on?
I've NEVER lobbied for team tank before but this is THE YEAR to do so. How is it we're not all on board with this?

No self respecting Vancouverite leaves town for Alberta. That is a cop-out its like waiving the white flag that you couldn't make it here in Van. Not successful enough, didn't work hard enough not savvy enough to find a way to stay. If you can make it in Vancouver you can make it anywhere anyone who leaves will always been seen as a failure to many of us.
What a horrible thing to say. You know absolutely nothing of this fellow fan's personal situation. You're what's wrong with humans

Feel free to use the ignore feature then. It's our duty as fans to do our best to make sure ownership is aware that Rutherford is not welcome here.
Fair enough
Not even saying I disagree with you although I may just not feel as strongly about it as you do
Just seems you could wait a page or 5 before chiming in again rather than dominating the entire conversation buy quoting and responding to every next post individually.
But you have every right to insist your thoughts are heard loud and clear by every single member if you choose to and, like you said, Ignore works too

Rutherford.
2 pages in to a 52 page read and I’ve seen about a dozen posts just from you adding nothing to the conversation aside from cementing your hatred of JR. Really hoping the next 20 pages don’t see a continuation of this. Ya made yer point ad nauseam already

That's show biz son. HNIC rarely has something as exciting to discuss between games. Most of the time there
panel chat is sleep inducing, so it was a great day in the life of that bunch.
So a condescending 'Son' intro followed by a red herring in the guise of HNIC criticism. Way to respond on topic whippersnapper

OMG, seriously?
What a big fuss over nothing. This is ridiculous...he's a competitor who wants to win. He cares about his teammates and has made that clear. Good God, no one'll ever want to sign here if this is the kind of stuff we blow up.
The coach DID make the call but admits it was somewhat confusing. Holy hell, this is such a non story and it's kind of embarrassing that our fan base runs with it. We're always wanting to create a stir and this soap opera mentality is really too much.
From people tracking down GM's in supermarkets to flying planes overhead to screaming over a guy who, in the dying seconds of a close game, reacted with urgency. It's always something.
If it were just a problem with us fans being pissed about this then how does it make the panel chat on HNIC the next game as Miller further sours himself by failing to show up and contribute in any meaningful way other than sewering the team's efforts yet again?

Very prophetic of you to describe Messier the same way you'll be describing Miller when the dust settles on his tenure here

Best city in the world.
Great city in many, many ways for sure but don't kid yourself.
Not only is there really no such thing as 'BEST' in many areas of life as so many things are subjective but even sports teams only get to claim this for the short period of time during which they hold championship titles.
I was appalled those few years when our BC license plates switched from Beautiful BC to Best Place On Earth or whatever the hell it was.
We're supposed to be proud but humble Canadians not arrogant Americans lol

1. According to Natural Stat Trick (which is go-to source for detailed game data) the Canucks gave up 4 high danger chances at 5-on-5 in the entire game. That is a low number. Including the power play, the Canucks allowed 11 high dangers chances. That is a roughly average number. Given the number of powerplays Colorado had, that means the D was playing well.
2. I agree that Halak played well and it was great to see but, as more than one commentator observed, the Canucks did a good job of keeping Colorado to the outside.
3. As for Miller's comment, in every game there are some defensive breakdowns but a good goalie will stop most of the resulting chances, as Halak did against Colorado. In effect, Miller was saying that Halak played well, which he did. And of course Miller (and the other players) wanted to be positive about Halak after the grinder he has been through with a couple of bad starts and the trade deadline issues.
Fair enough

But, to be honest, the D in front of him was very good and did not give up a lot of high quality chances.
So superman Miller can acknowledge in his post game presser that there were a number of breakdowns that required Halak to bail them out but you can't?
I know Halak posted too many losses this season and 2 really bad games in recent months but it amazes me how many here are reluctant to give him his due tonight or acknowledge that many of his losses were the result of horrible D in front of him with little to no run support.

Of course Halak was brilliant but didn't have to make any spectacular saves, just stay solid.
Did you not watch the final seconds of the 3rd when their goalie was on the bench? Not to mention a number of others during the game that were at least a ways past 'just solid'
He didn't get 1st star and the belt for just staying solid.
I think ya should've stopped with 'brilliant' lol

Sounds like we won in spite of the refs too. Wow did I miss a doozy of a game.
Not picking on you specifically but there were a couple others who made similar posts in this thread already and I just don't get it...
How on Earth does one MISS a game in this day and age?
Doesn't every home have a PVR or two now? I just can't imagine how this is even a thing lol
I mean, I'm a big Canucks fan but far from the biggest fan around. But the weekly games are always cued up to record and when one game ends I'm already thinking ahead and looking forward to the next.

Can anyone please explain
Your topic is not completely disinteresting but you're now triple posting and double-quoting yourself about Vegas in a post Colorado game thread.
Ever heard of thread derailment before?
You're currently mastering in it by doing this.
Go start another thread or find one where this is actually the subject of conversation

Such a wholly unacceptable and scumbag move. Crushed to learn of this but will move to the alternative and hope the vibe and essence of what this place has been and meant to so many makes its way there with us all.
This is all just so very much in line with how the relationship between management and fans has been for some time. So short-sighted and out of touch.
Burns my butt
Not to mention other similar things happening in our country of late (Bill C18 and the subsequent removal of news links from major social platforms, CoV redacting docs requested through FOI laws) with everyone having an 'explanation' but rarely any true transparency or anyone actually taking responsibility and giving anything back to the general public.
