Turns out Jim Nill was the smart one in that equation.

[Rumour] Bo Horvat Trade/Contract Talks

Not sure what Vegas would be willing to pay but: Hague, Korczak, Cormier, Chayka. and a 1st. Only way it makes sense to trade in division. -

Tend to agree. I would rather see us put more emphasis on getting a young center with a high ceiling and have the defenseman be the secondary piece. We don’t need a high end offensive defenseman, we need one that can take care of his own end and move the puck out. Preferably have a bit of size and toughness l. Nothing too flashy. -
Edit- Rick Tocchet Expected To Be Next Head Coach
DeNiro replied to BertaNuck's topic in Canucks Talk
Yea like he’s potentially saying goodbye to a job that he absolutely loves and won’t be able to do anymore. That’s gotta bring a ton of emotion for him. I think most of all he’s just gonna miss his players though. I think he really connects with them. And to know that they couldn’t achieve success together has gotta hurt. -

Don’t need wingers. If they want Bo they’re giving up one of Wallinder/Edvinsson and Rasmussen. -
Ironic because everyone thought having a president would create better communication between ownership/management/coaches and fans but it’s worse than it’s ever been. Also it’d be one thing if he was making big moves and building a winner on the ice. Fans could turn a blind eye to certain things. But they’ve created one of the worst versions of the Canucks in our history, while at the same time running a Mickey Mouse operation off the ice. Probably the most important transition period in our history and they’re entrusting it to Jim “the blustery buffoon” Rutherford and Patrick “quiet as a chipmunk” Allvin. It’s no wonder fan confidence is at an all time low.
