  1. You’re not paid to represent a billion dollar organization that’s the difference. That’s exactly what he’s doing by making that stand. If he were indifferent to it then it wouldn’t matter. People like you are part of the problem because they turn a blind eye to hate and intolerance. That’s exactly how it creeps back into society. It has nothing to do with your cutesy little snowflake word it has to do with being an evolved society.
  2. Very good tank night. Hawks and Canadiens win. Ducks lose to the Flyers but that’s fine because it keeps them ahead of us. Blue Jackets lose but I never thought theyd beat the Preds anyways. Just need a Yotes OT win and I’ll be very tankful.
  3. He’s worried about putting on a rainbow jersey? Give me a break. He can have his bigoted opinions but put on the damn jersey. And don’t hide behind religion like a coward.
  4. Someone who doesn’t accept another persons freedom to choose who they want to be with is hateful. No other way to spin it. Where does it say in his religion to not accept gay people. I’ll wait.
  5. BS. That’s straight up ignorance, intolerance, and hate. Anyone that can’t evolve past a book written thousands of years ago is a caveman. You don’t get to hide hate behind religion anymore.
  6. He’s not that talented though. And something like this is different.
  7. Not after tonight. Vancouver is very supportive of their LGBTQ community. It would be a PR disaster to bring in a guy that refused to wear a pride jersey.
  8. No not really if true. No team is gonna take on a player like that.
  9. Lol at Edmonton fans continuing to think Puljujarvi has any value. So basically they’re trading an okay young player and a 1st. We could easily get that without trading him within the division.
  10. All you need is to have New Jersey or New York believe the other one is interested and start the bidding war. The Rangers are known for outbidding their competition. That’s what we need here.
  11. To everyone on the outside sure. But again we don’t know what’s being said behind closed doors. Maybe he’s agreed to keep running things until a change is made. Who knows? He’s a professional and him and JR are friends. I’m sure there’s no hard feelings.
  12. Nah I think it’s all overblown. Unless they ask Bruce how he feels about it I don’t buy everyone saying he’s being disrespected. We don’t know the conversations they’re having behind closed doors.
  13. Yea not at least having a conversation with him would be insane. Unless of course they already no he either has no interest in coaching in Canada or he has no plan to return till next season. Either way I think you at least talk to him again. Tells me they’re probably fairly early in the coaching search.
  14. His reasoning is pretty weak around Trotz too. He says his agent would never put another guy in Vancouver? Give me a break. Fans were chanting this guys name. Do you really think this market has treated him poorly? I mean his results here aren’t exactly stellar… Trotz will go where he sees the best opportunity. Whether or not they pitch him on Vancouver I don’t know. But I highly doubt the Boudreau situation would affect that.
  15. A lot of teams that have a legit chance at the cup and a closing window. That’s why teams would do it. You’re telling me Carolina wouldn’t part with say Jarvis and Morrow for a legit shot at the cup? I think they would. Plus Bo actually extends their window as he could replace Staal who’s 34 and a pending UFA.
  16. What music? The parts that need to be fixed are obvious, and it doesn’t involve trading Pettersson. He’s the best young center this team has ever had. I get that fans are impatient from what’s happened in the past, but this is not the time to be impatient. You don’t blow it all up because of a few issues that need to be fixed. That’s a good way of creating another 10 years of going nowhere. The challenges for this team are big, but they’re not insurmountable. If they try to get stuff done at the deadline and in the offseason and still can’t, then I might lean towards a full rebuild. But right now they need to at least try to build around the core. GMs have built winners starting with less than this management group has been given.
  17. No, blue chip prospects and proven young NHLers.
  18. He also said he doesn’t wanna change the coach. Everyone already knew he had talked to other coaches, there was no point lying. The writing has been on the wall for awhile that he’s not extending him. Of course he’s gonna make plans for a new coach. Why wouldn’t he. This is all just media making something out of nothing. Everyone feels bad that It couldn’t work with Bruce here but that’s part of the business. I don’t feel bad that he’s being paid to do a job he loves, even though it’s a struggle right now. This could be his last coaching job for all he knows. I’m sure he’s just soaking it in right now for as long as he can.
  19. No chance we’re helping the Bruins win a cup for a return of Lysell. He’s so overhyped on here, he’s not that good. A “look at me mommy” player as Alf would say. We need to hit a home run with a Bo trade. A legit young center or a RHD. Preferably both. No boom or bust or long shot projects.
  20. No he’s the type of center you start a build around. Why would you get rid of him just to try and search for another center as good as him? Makes no sense, he’s 24. You’re looking at 10 years with no guarantees if you wanna tear it right down to nothing.
  21. Yep. I saw him purposely whiff on a couple shots last game. He’s probably thinking “nah it wouldn’t be right if it wasn’t against the Canucks”
