Not for 8 mil. He’d have to come here on a 6.5-7 mil deal. Then sign Edler and Hamonic for cheap and wait till Ferland goes on LTIR to add a couple more depth guys.

Exactly. If the Sedins call him up and he looks at the team Sweden we’ve got going here maybe he’s willing to sign, who knows? Benning could definitely find a way to fit him in.

Would love to add another forward I think we’re one away from being very deep. I like Schwartz but I’m not sure if we can afford to add another small winger with Hogz and Garland already on the roster. I’m thinking someone like Saad or a trade with New York for Strome would add more size.

Probably not gonna happen till after free agency if it does. You’ll get a better price after teams strike out on free agents. Might get some desperate teams calling.

I’m just glad we can stop with the countless proposals for dumping those contracts. Never thought we’d ever be done with them. I thought it would be too difficult trading them all in multiple trades. Yet here we are with all of them off the books and even some good players to show for it. -
That being said Schmidt for Strome might be good. Nets us an extra 1.5 mil for one more season till he’s a UFA. We can re-sign him or walk after that. Miller Pettersson Boeser Garland Horvat Strome

Buchnevich is also a risky acquisition. He’s an RFA with arb rights who just had a pretty solid season. He’s either gonna get a big payday or head back to Russia.

Sadly Schneider is done. The injuries have become too much. You’d end up just having to replace him at some point.

Vanacek from Seattle would be a great acquisition and he only makes 725k. Not sure what it would cost or if Seattle even wants to trade him.

Really a big advantage for us next season. He can be recalled whenever the baby nucks have a break even if just to practice with NHLers.

With some of the asking prices for free agents this summer OELs contract is gonna look pretty reasonable. Seth Jones signed for 9.5 mil Hamilton is looking for 9-10 mil Pelech is looking for 7 mil
