  1. If we go 12-4 I’m thinking we’d be lower than 9th.
  2. If we go 12-4 I’m gonna be so mad. That would likely mean no good pick and falling around 4 wins shy of a playoff spot… If this team doesn’t have a plan to start managing Demko’s starts and reducing certain players minutes they’re hopeless.
  3. Nope plan C. Plan A: Right Shot D men (Livingston, Malinski) Plan B: Left shot D men (Hirose, Pulli) Plan C: Center depth (Andreev etc) With limited contracts to hand out they have to prioritize D first and foremost. If there’s an extra contract for a center after signing them then sure. But a long shot center man would be a luxury right now. They need to get their NHL center depth in order first.
  4. Canes are done if he is. Should have gone all in at the deadline. They might have been able to overcome this. Looks like the Rangers are the only ones that can stop the Bruins now.
  5. A lot of names get thrown around this time of year. Hes likely their plan C if they can’t sign Livingstone, Malinski, or Pulli.
  6. Don’t even need to google to know that he is or soon will be a client of Dan Millstein… Makes sense they’ve been watching him though since he’s a teammate of Canucks prospect Jack Malone and other rumoured signing Sam Malinski.
  7. They’re over the cap next season as of right now. What moves are you thinking will free up cap and allow them to upgrade the roster? Like I said there’s players they wanna move, doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll be able to. Allvin is holding his cards close to his chest. I think they were closer than he lets on. If Pittsburgh offers Pettersson, POJ, Poehling and their 1st would you turn that down?
  8. It’s much higher than a zero chance since they were listening to offers… A retool also involves trading players. Trading Miller wouldn’t mean a rebuild. They’ve backed themselves into cap hell again and if they can’t move the players they wanna move he might be their best chip to solve multiple needs. I wouldn’t be surprised if Pittsburgh circles back and ups their offer in the summer.
  9. Or when he’s traded to Pittsburgh and fans are shocked that they’re not actually going all in for next season.
  10. They don’t want the next captain to be a 3-4 year captain they’d want them to be here long term. Petey, Miller, or Hughes are the only realistic options.
  11. I don’t think it would be a surprise. Almost certainly would be Petey.
  12. Most likely but if that cap is in the form of a top 4 D man it solves two problems. Young center + a top 4 D man + a pick and a prospect to flip for another D man. That puts us farther ahead IMO. We’re not going anywhere if we don’t seriously beef up the back end.
  13. One makes twice as much as the other that’s the difference. An 8.5 mil player should be able to drive offense themselves not rely on another player.
  14. Because they want to get younger to fit their actual window? Reason why they were asking for a young center from teams for Miller. A young center plus 8 mil in cap space puts them in a much better position. I know people wanna believe we’re only a few years away from going to the finals but we’re not.
  15. I’ll take the under. I think he’s traded either just before the draft or on draft day.
  16. Need another level from him. I want him to go down to Abby and keep working on his offense.
  17. Important player for Abby and solid depth for the big club. No brainer to re-sign him.
  18. The difference is having Demko back there 100%. Players aren’t afraid to take chances when they know he’ll bail them out. Seems like earlier in the season if we tried to be aggressive on the pk it always came back and ended up in the back of our net.
  19. Severson has the Kelowna connection and may wanna play in BC again. He’s also having a down season so maybe you can sign him between 5-6 mil. That being said he’s gonna want term and will be 29 soon. Not sure we should be handing out another long contract to a 29 year old. And does he even play the type of game we need now? Mayfield on a 4-5 year deal would be ideal. I doubt he levels Long Island though.
