    Again that’s horrible for a room having a player in that situation. Nothings gonna be different next deadline. Teams will still want us to retain.

    I prefer 28 year old defensemen making 8 million. That fits our timeline perfectly.

    Allvin even said himself picks can be used to trade for players. A trade can be a precursor to open you up to other trade possibilities. I’m baffled that an NHL GM can’t wrap their heads around this. Seems like he wanted to accomplish everything in the least amount of moves.

    No you’re going to trade him this offseason if any team makes an offer! It’s not fair to Boeser or the team to go through another season of this. He wants to move on, you want to move him. Take what you can get and cut your losses. So toxic for a room to have a player that doesn’t want to be there.

    If it’s a sliding scale I think other teams bumped us up. We did acquire a top 4 D man, a former top 10 player, a decent prospect for a cap dump. They failed to move out a big contract which would have obviously made it a B+ or higher IMO.

    Disappointing they didn’t do more for sure. But I would still grade this deadline a C+. Lots of teams out there with solid Fs this deadline.

    But what if the “thing” was just bringing us all together to spend time with each other. What if that’s the gift he was giving us all along!

    Hope they don’t get a paycheck for todays “work”.

    Good thing they got that Lazar blockbuster done. I bet he was the real problem in the room.

    Maybe they can circle back to the Pens in the summer. They’ll have to deal with a new GM at that point though.

    We didn’t unload any cap to improve the roster. We’re gonna have to take on more dead cap for years to come and spend even more draft capital to dump contracts. That’s not a strategy for success.

    It ain’t gonna get easier in the summer if that’s what they think. Hope Aqua likes buyouts. Oh and we’ll see if we have to trade another 2nd to dump a contract.

    Yep heard it a million times. We’re gonna get sold a bunch more hope about how we believe in the direction and we’re close. And the coaching staff has made a big difference already and the additions of Kravstov and Hronek are really gonna help. Oh and I expect they’ll say something along the lines of our big deadline deal was a month ago so they didn’t plan on doing much today.

    It’s gonna be Brisebois for some Swedish forward we’ve never heard of. You know it’s gonna be a deal like that.

    I think the Schnarr for Allard was the real highlight. I did NOT see that one coming!
