Dahlen can make moves like that and him and Pettersson have that kind of chemistry. Need to draft Dmen in the 2nd next draft or it's going to continue to bite us.
-
At the same time Finland seems to be in a golden age of developing NHL talent right now. Just look at how many finns have gone in the top 10 in the last few years. You would have never seen that in the past.
-
Not sure what more Pettersson has to do to make team Sweden. He's tearing up the SHL at 19 years old. Do they not want to start building young talent at the international level? Especially in a year like this.

Some lucky Korean fan could get a silver medal when Lias Andersson tosses it into the stands.
-
Don't know much about DobberProspects, do they normally have an Eastern bias? If so that's even more impressive.
-
If Goldobin is the guy he talks to about the current situation of the Canucks, I doubt he's coming back anytime soon.

19 in 32 in the HAL is struggling yes. Especially for a player his age that put up great point totals in college. We're talking about making the jump straight from college. Aston-Reese was not able to because he had holes in his game. Doubtful any coach would have given him a top 9 role with those flaws. Easily slotted in? No.
-
Depending on how polished their game is for sure. A guy like Vesey managed to make the jump and have success right away. Others like Aston-Reese have struggled a bit despite having really good numbers for Northeastern in his final year. It's hard to say who will have success and who wont. I think it just comes down to character and how hard a players willing to work and listen to his coaches.

With the success of a guy like Boeser, I think he'd be crazy to not see the opportunity here. No longer should there be the stigma that young guys don't get a chance here. With Gaudette's energy and two-way ability, he should be a favourite of Green's.
-
I really hope he develops into a center. We can't really afford to use another high pick on a center when we have so many other holes to fill.
-
2G 2A for Gaudette tonight. I believe that puts him at 30 points in 20 games. Very impressive numbers so far.
-
He put up over 70 points in his 3 seasons in Buffalo... Maybe that's what he meant.
-
He's Sean Avery with more skill. Why would we expect anything less?
-
Pettersson now 5 points back of the league lead in the SHL with one more league game until he returns. Definitely still possible for him to stay right in the mix.
-
Being able to rip it like that before he's even packed on muscle is crazy. Can't imagine what he can do once he gets his man strength.
-
Bingo. Coaches throwing a bone to the buffalo faithful. No biggy, Pettersson will have to settle for a gold medal instead.
-
Has Pettersson won player of the game yet?
-
Not sure how his all around game is but we really need a player that can play in both ends and log 25+ minutes.
-
Yea I'm seeing a few good players I'd be happy to have. That being said Dahlin is the prize of this years draft. He's by far the player we need more than anyone.
-
Pettersson keeps doing the crouch down/reach check. He better take that out of his game at the next level or he's gonna have his head taken off.
-
He got this whole thing going. The Swedes looked slow and disorganized before that.
-
Oettinger is the better player. I would have gone with him either way. But yea those goals were just great plays.
-
Gotta keep their heads up now. You know the Yanks are gonna play dirty now they're getting embarrassed.
-
I never thought we would get Dahlen for Burrows either. Can never tell how another GM values players/prospects and how desperate they are to go for it now. Perhaps Foote is not as high on their depth chart as other people might believe. You never know.

If Edler isn't being played like a top D-man/goaltender he would be an effective support player. Wouldn't be a bad addition to a team looking to gain an edge. If they would pay a top D prospect for him I'm not so sure.
