  1. Game over... Better team won. Knights were barely holding on.
  2. Fatigue might be setting in for Juolevi. Seems to be making some poor decisions with the puck.
  3. There's their opening...
  4. Knights sitting back too much, that's what they get.
  5. Awesome that Barry is his agent. He represents alot of high end players and I'm sure will give Dahlen all the tools he needs to be successful. Might be tough come contract negotiation time, but oh well.
  6. Sucks that Parsons is a Flames prospect. They may have finally figured out their goaltending in the future.
  7. Haydn Fleury, a defenseman taken one spot after Jake, has more points in the AHL. That can't be considered a success by any stretch. Does that mean he's a bust? No, but his development has definitely been a disappointment for a 6th overall pick so far.
  8. It has nothing to do with feelings and everything to do with results.
  9. Jake is a long ways from being an NHLer. It's not enough to just skate fast in the NHL, lots of players can do that. He simply lacks the consistency to be an AHLer at this point, let alone an NHLer.
  10. He had very strong u18's and Ivan Hlinka tournaments plus he's committed to a very good program in the University of Minnesota. Wouldn't be surprised if he had a Dylan Larkin like rise.
  11. The Knights explode offensively in the third and score 3 goals in just over 5 minutes. Juolevi assists on the go ahead goal to take a 3-2 lead.
  12. If both Juloevi and Liljegren reached their potrntial, for sure it's a no brainer. I just think it's too risky because he's not a sure thing, and we already have Juolevi who projects anywhere from a good number 2 to a number 4 defenseman. If Liljegren tops out as a number 3-4 guy as well that still leaves us with no true number 1 D-man as well as a lack of scoring up front going forward. Point is, if you're gonna use two top 5 picks on D-men back to back, you better make sure you're getting a number 1 guy. Otherwise that's an expensive cost for a couple 2nd pairing D-men.
  13. He's been compared to a few top defensemen. I just think he's too risky though. So many things can go wrong in a defenseman's development to draft them that high. Hopefully we end up drafting top 3 and it won't even matter.
  14. People are looking at him as the next Karlsson though, that's the whole point. From what I've seen he doesn't play like Doughty. Doughty is bigger, grittier, and plays much better in his own end. If scouts want him because he could be another Doughty type, that makes me want to draft him even less. This guy is a long shot to reach his potential IMO.
  15. Smooth skating Swede who is always jumping up in the attack and has a good wrister. How is that not Karlsson?
  16. Yea, if we end up picking 5th I wouldn't be against trading down. I wanted us to trade back last draft and take Jost, and I still feel that would have been a good move.
  17. It seems to me like Liljegren is only ranked high because everyone keeps hoping these smooth skating Swedish defensemen are the next Karlsson. There is only one Karlsson, and the odds are Liljegren won't even come close to touching his ceiling. No thanks to drafting a D-man that high again unless they're a lock to be a top pairing guy.
  18. Olli and the Knights take a 1-0 lead in a pivotal game 3. Anyone have a stream for this?
  19. The worst thing they could have done with Virtanen and McCann is that whole "welcome to the NHL" thing. At that point it should have never been in their minds that they had made it. They should always have felt that they needed to continue to earn it, but I didn't get that feeling. It seemed more like "well we don't wanna send you back to junior so you get to stay here". Not sure that's the best way to handle young players going forward. They should be feeling that any day they could be sent down regardless of contract situations. That keeps them honest and working hard. I think we're seeing both guys struggle as a result of that.
  20. He's not going to be playing with the Sedins anymore, so he's gonna have to get back to working hard and making his own chances. I really hope that the Comets can get in to the post season and Goldobin can continue rounding out his game. It's obvious the skill is there, just need a bit more hustle and involvement in his game.
  21. Canucks tanked by accident? Uhhh no. It was pretty obvious what they were doing. And Ryan Nugent-Hopkins? Give me a break. Patrick plays nothing like Nugent-Hopkins.
  22. I think most of us will be thankful if he becomes a regular top 9 NHler at this point. A very disappointing first season in the AHL. It seems like he's got a long ways to go before he becomes consistent enough to make the big show. But who knows, alot of us thought Jensen and Shinkaruk looked like future NHLers and look how that turned out. We'll know alot more in the next couple years.
  23. Nope. Shutout! Shutout! Shutout!
