  1. Pretty hard to get scored on when you're as sheltered as he is.
  2. Yea true. I know Juolevi is a player we need in the long run, it's just tough to watch these young offensive players that we could have drafted produce. Especially when this team is starving for goal scorers right now. To think we could have Tkachuk, Nylander, and Boeser among our forward group going forward is hard to just forget about.
  3. Kind of annoying that in a 6-0 game he hasn't picked up any points. Kind of makes you wonder how they're using him. he's a +3 though, so that's something good.
  4. Juolevi a +7 so far this season. Just goes to show he's on the ice alot for goals for, just not picking up the points sometimes. Max Jones is also tearing it up for them as well. Another Anaheim late first round steal. Funny how they manage to keep restocking their pool despite finishing between 20-30 most years.
  5. Cubs are more popular than the Indians this year. Just like being a Yankees fan is convenient every time she's in New York.
  6. So excited for these guys. They get to go meet President Trump in the Orange House!
  7. Correct. Juolevi is Finnish.
  8. Matthews probably wasn't the best example. But the point I was trying to make was that opinions after a draft year can change quite a bit.
  9. His points per game are a little lower, but hopefully he can be at around a point a game by the end of the season.
  10. Button's opinion is usually garbage. Comparing him to McDavid at that stage was especially a stretch. I didn't say people weren't predicting for him to go first overall, I said that he wasn't considered a franchise defining centerman before his draft year.
  11. Size, strong bloodlines, and he's playing for the Rockets?? Sold! My guess is this guy is ranked much higher than 10 after this season.
  12. Ideally we want the big nasty D-man that can play at both ends of the ice next. Those may be the hardest pieces to come by. I'd say we've already got a good start on pure puck movers. Next we need the guy that can beat you up physically and on the scoreboard all while playing 30 minutes a night.
  13. If Liligren is comparable to hall of famers, sure take him. But to say that comparison is premature would be a huge understatement. Matthews wasn't considered a franchise defining center before his draft year either. Like I said, lots can change in a players draft year. Patrick already has the size and skill, if he can take his game to another level this season, opinions can change quickly.
  14. Biggest difference is that he's 5'11". These rankings can change so much in a draft year, just look at Chychrun. If we're gonna tank this year, Patrick is the only player that would make it worth it for me.
  15. It would require shipping out contracts, no team intentionally tells their players to suck. Last season they were trying too, and had they realized the direction the team was going sooner they may have been able to tank hard enough to get the first overall. The standings are so tight now that even if a team tries until March, they can still be close enough to the bottom of the standings to choose either direction. Lets just hope that if this team isn't close that management does the wise thing and makes moves to help the tank rather than fight it.
  16. Hyping players almost a year before the draft is pointless. So much will change over the course of these players draft year. Unless there's a Hedman or Ekblad in the 2017 draft there's no point tanking for a D-man.
  17. Yep, clearly we should have picked Konecny, and Boeser will be a bust. After all once a player puts up points in the NHL the comparison is over. Just like Nichushkin was the clear cut better choice after he had a 34 point season.
  18. Tkachuk would have no defenseman to feed him the puck here. If it wasn't obvious this team needed a top puck mover before, being pinned in our own zone shift after shift this season should make it clear.

    Anton Rodin | RW/LW

To be fair, I'm pretty sure he reaggravated it by coming back too soon. Different medical staff, same results.

I hope it's actually precautionary and not one of those cases where they're hiding the severity of an injury again.

One of those wait and see injuries I guess.
  22. This is a Juolevi thread, if you wanna talk about Chychrun or Nylander go to the draft thread.
  23. I don't wanna see him turn pro next season. Just because he's putting up points doesn't mean he'll be physically ready. I'd like to see him follow a similar path as Tyler Motte who spent three years at Michigan. He'll be a much stronger more complete player that way.
  24. Just for reference Cory Schneider had an 0.849 SV% and a 4.50 GAA after his first two AHL games, not that it means much this early.
