  1. That's the championship every college hockey player wants. If Demko wins that I think it's very unlikely he goes back to college another year.
  2. I think it comes down to rushing things. As he gets more comfortable the game should slow down for him a bit. Then hopefully he'll hold onto the puck a bit more and not rush to make plays.
  3. He was just playing in the KHL playoffs like 2 weeks ago and was playing more minutes than anyone. If he looked out of shape it's because he's played some hard minutes over the last few weeks.
  4. If you're not struggling it's not a proper bag skate.
  5. Boeser is just 2 points away from joining Zach Parise as the only UND freshman in the last 35 years to score 50 points. He's also 1 goal away from tying Parise's goal record.
  6. That was played in Sweden. Not North American ice.
  7. Demko gets his 10th shutout of the season as the Eagles win game one of their quarterfinals.
  8. The Canucks should sign all the UND players! Sign Stecher, Johnson, and Caggiula.
  9. So if he signs a 2 year ELC that means we'll only really have him signed for 1 full year correct?
  10. Boeser with a a goal and an assist in the first period.
  11. Putin needs his cut too. It's the way it works in mother Russia.
  12. Watching Tryamkin play with Subban would be worth the price of admission.
  13. Weber can still be sent down since he already cleared waivers once correct?
  14. Definitely nice to salvage something for sure. You always have that what if feeling though. There was a point where Jensen looked like he belonged in the NHL. He was even given a shot with the Sedins. And then for whatever reason AV demoted him to a bottom 6 role, and from then on he kind of just faded away. I would have liked to see him stick at that point. As for Shinkaruk there's still a big gamble there. Granlund projects to be a two way third liner, whereas Shinkaruk is a top 6 or bust pretty much. If he becomes that top 6 player he was drafted to be we lose that trade big time. It was just nice to finally have a player in the system with that top 6 skill set. We know we have enough bottom 6 guys. Now we have to wait on Boeser to see if he'll become that player.
  15. Yea that's the delicate balance right now for Vancouver. You wanna call these guys up and give them a shot, but you don't wanna hurt Utica's chances of making the playoffs. I was a little disappointed Benning didn't even make any moves to improve Utica at the deadline. They could have used a Conacher or Baertschi like addition this year to help them get in. Losing their leading scorer without getting a replacement is going to hurt them.
  16. Great to see one of my favourite prospects getting a real chance now. I've followed this guy for 4 years now, from Belleville, to Erie, to Utica. It's a good feeling to finally see one of our guys make the big show. He's done everything they asked of him and he deserves it. Can't tell you how frustrating it is watching these guys for 4 or 5 years rooting them on, only to have them traded before being given a real chance to succeed. It seems like that's been the theme with this club over the last little while. Grabner, Schroeder, Jensen, Shinkaruk all traded before being given a real opportunity here. And we wonder why we never have any good young players coming up...
  17. Shinkaruk was drafted 2 years after Granlund. Do you think Granlund had an NHL game 2 years ago?
  18. I'm sure this has been covered but can Granlund be sent to Utica without going through waivers?

    Anton Rodin | RW/LW

H should also realize that his team plays in the biggest heaviest division in the league as well. If he thinks speed and skill is the answer for LA, Anaheim, and San Jose then I can already tell him how that will end.

So we're going to have a top 9 of the Sedins, Baertschi, Granlund and Rodin? Are we sure Benning was Boston's GM? Because right now he's building a buttery soft team.
  21. He already passed it. He has 30 points in 38 games this season compared to 29 in 74 last season.
  22. The Canucks had a very specific plan for him from the get go. The reason they haven't talked to him is because they wanted him to spend three years in college before turning pro. They'll make him a contract offer this summer so that he can play next season in Utica. It's up to him if he wants to turn pro yet or not.
  23. Why not? I think that UND team is going to be one of those special teams when you look back on it. They're such a talented team.
  24. Canucks need to take a run at Caggiula too.
