  1. Apparently they said it's BU's goalie hitting his stick on the post.
  2. That pinging noise in the background is kind of annoying. It sounds like the puck hitting the post.
  3. True. It all depends how he adjusts though. Both Lack and Markstrom came into the AHL and were starters right away. Cannata has shown that he can at least handle 50% of the games and be solid. Keeping him would give them a better option for a tandem with Demko, if Demko shows he can handle the transition. Also when Schneider was in Manitoba the Canucks didn't own that team, so they didn't call the shots like they do now. Bachman hasn't exactly shined as a starter either.
  4. Well I'm thinking they wanna have Demko be the starter in Utica, so whoever they keep will be the backup. I think Cannata is more suited to be a backup at this point, as Bachman will likely wanna be a starter. I think they'll end up trading Bachman if Demko comes in next season.
  5. I think it was Wisconsin if I remember correctly.
  6. I saw alot of supposed high end blue chip prospects struggle in this tournament. I don't put too much stock into it. The transition from junior to the AHL is much more telling for me.
  7. He wouldn't be the first 1st round pick to not reach expectations and he won't be the last. I think the UND program is much stronger now than it was back than, and has produced many more notable players. For his coach to mention him along with Oshie and Toews says alot. That being said there's still alot of development to go with him.
  8. I think some people forget how raw Lack was when he got to Manitoba. Melanson has worked wonders with young goalies like Lack and Markstrom. He'll do the same with Demko no doubt. Pointing out things like glove positioning is just nitpicking at this point.
  9. Demko and the Eagles win their semifinal and will play the winner of BU and Northeastern next Monday on TSN. Demko will be aiming to win his second Beanpot title in the last 3 years.
  10. BC on top 3-2, just need Demko to shut the door now and they're on to the finals.
  11. Every goalie has parts of their game they need to work on, but saying he has a bunch of holes makes it sound like he's completely raw, which he isn't. He's athletic, he's technically sound for the most part, can handle the puck, and he has a good glove. I don't see any glaring "holes" that he needs to work on. Just some tweaking to his technical game like most goalies.
  12. The course of the season where he leads the league in shutouts and is leading the Hobey Baker voting? You don't do that by having a bunch of "holes" in your game. Again, this is not a great game for him so far. He makes both those saves 9 times out of 10. Every goalie has an off game, I wouldn't use this as any sort of basis. As long as his off games don't lead to 6 or 7 goals against, we'll be fine.
  13. Are you basing this on one game? I agree he's probably at least a couple years away, but it's not because on this performance. This hasn't been his best game so far.
  14. Not sure how goalie interference isn't called there.
  15. Demko with yet another shutout in his teams 4-0 win over Notre Dame. He now leads the NCAA in shutouts for the season with 8 and ties a single season record with none other than Corey Schnieder
  16. Make that goal number 2 for Boeser and his 17th of the season as he gets the only two goals of the game.
  17. Gaudette's Northeastern team will also be on after that to play BU if anyone's interested.
  18. Boeser scores his team leading 16th goal with just over 5 minutes remaining to break a scoreless tie. #Clutch
  19. Can't wait to see what he can do as he gets stronger and faster. He's already got the shot and the IQ to be a good offensive player. Just needs that extra step and strength and he could be dominant.
  20. Scored a nice breakaway goal tonight. Got a goal and an assist. Seems like he responded well after being demoted by Green.
  21. Actually you're the one that jumped to the freaking out level. I simply asked if anyone knew why he didn't play, and then in a separate thought said that I bet the Canucks will look into bringing him over this season. But go ahead and overreact at someone who wasn't even overreacting...
  22. That's what I was wondering. I don't know of any site that lists KHL contracts. Maybe he does.
  23. Do you know for a fact, or are you just saying that. All I was asking was what was up with him. Don't have an answer, don't respond. No need to be pissy about it.
  24. Some KHL contracts have out clauses for the NHL. So it could mean something.
  25. Tryamkin didn't play in his teams 2-1 loss yesterday. Anyone know whats up with that? I wouldn't be surprised if the Canucks are trying to bring him over this season.
