  1. If Gaunce and the Bulls can somehow win a memorial cup, that would give us 3 players on the team (if we re-sign Roy) with memorial cups. Two of them being captains.
  2. The Bulls are taking over offensively now. It's 5-2 and Gaunce has two powerplay assists now.
  3. Maybe cause Subban is overrated?
  4. Can't remember, are they best of 5 series in the 1st round?
  5. Okay. I was looking at full season pace. Just a misunderstanding.
  6. You're making it way too complicated. I'm saying in a full 82 game season, Schroeder is on pace to have 14 less points than Hodgson did in his 83 game season. Pretty simple. You divide how many points by how many games they've played and times it by 82 to get their full season projection. That would be 27 points for Schroeder.
  7. Schroeder's on pace for 24 Even Strength Points. Hodgson had 27 Even Strength Points (in 83 games) Pretty close. So you gotta think that if we didn't have the worst powerplay in the league, that gap would be closed significantly.
  8. Schroeder's on pace for 27 points in an 82 game season. Hodgson had 41 in an 83 game season. A difference of 14 points.
  9. 14 points actually. Cody had 41 points in his first season. But that includes time on the fourth line for Schroeder. I agree that he has looked better all around though. And considering how poor our powerplay has been this year, he hasn't had much opportunity to shine there.
  10. He won. No longer a nomination.
  11. Q vs OHL. No comparison. Helps to play with a future superstar too.
  12. Yep, I think Gaunce and Belleville are the real deal.
  13. Sounds like it's a rough game. 3 fights in the first 5 minutes, and a series of slashing and roughing calls.
  14. Gaunce with 2 goals and 1 assist after 2 periods in game 1 of the playoffs.
  15. Gaunce with a hat trick tonight to go along with his best defensive forward award he received today. That brings him up to 31 goals on the season. Not too shabby for a defensive forward.
  16. I agree. He's too small to be an effective third line center. Move him to the wing and let him use his speed more and not worry about the defensive side as much as a center. Lots of smaller players have successfully converted to the wing once they reach the NHL. I think he could be the right wing playmaker that Kesler needs. Sedin Sedin Burrows Booth Kesler Schroeder Raymond (Big Center) Hansen Higgins Lapierre Kassian If all we do is acquire a center at the deadline, I'd like t see these lines. Although I have a feeling we'll trade one of our wingers. We're kind of overloaded. If Booth gets traded, Higgins can move to the second line and we can acquire a big two way winger for the fourth line.
  17. Make that a goal and an assist for Gaunce after 2 periods.
  18. Belleville has lost 3 straight, but that's after they won 10 in a row. And Gaunce still has put up 17 points in his last 15 games. They're just in a mini slump right now.
  19. Guy should be on a farm somewhere. What a mess.
  20. Gaunce with a goal and two assists in his teams 4-1 win tonight. That's now 17 points (8G, 9A) he's scored in his last 12 games.
  21. Don't give him credit for good moves. Blame him for any moves that look bad in hindsight. Gotcha.
  22. If it was just Garrison as a glaring weak spot, I would be worried. But the fact that Hamhuis, Edler, and Bieksa have all been bad, to me just shows a lack of chemistry, and failure from the coaching staff to get these guys prepared.
  23. ^^ 25 goals in 47 games after tonight.
  24. As soon as he starts one timing it and not stopping it on the line. I think what we're seeing is a guy who is just trying to figure things out on a new team and not do too much. He's starting off trying to play it simple. Once he gets more comfortable with the system and his teammates, I would imagine he'll be much more aggressive offensively. That's what made him effective in Florida. The Sedins take time to learn how to play with, it doesn't happen after 14 games. Everyone knows he's got a great one timer though, and I'm sure the Sedins and coaches will work with him to utilize it.
  25. Funny how Ballard, Bieksa, and Edler all have more penalties than him. He sucks at skating huh? Well that's just a dumb statement. Just because he doesn't have Ballard or Hamhuis' skating ability doesn't mean he sucks... And as far as hitting the net, he has pretty much the same amount of missed shots as Edler. So instead of singling out one guy, how about you judge him comparatively to everyone else on the team. When your two supposedly best defenseman are having trouble getting pucks through, maybe it's the system, and not the personnel. I haven't exactly been thrilled with the Canucks puck movement on the PP, have you?
