  1. I am on the trade JT as long as the return is decent not just move him in a cap dump sort of way. That said, where have we gotten with a ppg JT since he arrived...nowhere really the fluke of the bubble is not a true showing as we are how far removed from then and have we snifffed the normal playoffs since... I think there are a few teams that would be willing to acquire JT before this TDL, but I am sure there will be some GMs that are still a bit worried. Also, would have to take a contract back with term. Been mentioned a ton about KK, not the kind of deal I would be super happy about unless Carolina added some nice assets along with KK. Teams with an aging core or a core that needs a boos or market that has a hard time attracting FA that could use a versatile like JT are: Pittsburgh, Washignton, Carolina, Boston, Columbus and my underdog pick is Winnipeg. Winnipeg is at risk of losing Dubois, he has signed short deals and rumours have it he only wants to sign long term with Montreal. So maybe Winnipeg doesn't trade for JT this TDL but does around the draft after they move Dubois??
  2. My guess is P. Kane goes to Carolina, Boston adds a D either Gavrikov or Chychrun and maybe looks at Boeser or Garland in a Debrusk deal? NJ pays a premium for Meier. Canucks hopefully have a busy TDL and makes these so called "major surgery" moves. Then fans can see where we are headed and with what sort of cap room or big targets to address come the draft/FA or future off season trades
  3. I see them playing on different lines until we can get a C capable of top 6 minutes. I would love the Canucks to try and acquire Lawson Crouse from Arizona, I think he would be a great fit on Petersson's wing. Cost would be high and we aren't in a position likely to be the highest bidder but I would inquire for sure. Also, I wonder if the Canucks come draft time if we get the NYI 2023 1st round pick. That the team considers moving that selection for a RHD, we may have to add to that selection but so be it depending on the D coming back. I would take a shot at acquiring Fabbro from Nashville this TDL, but with them in limbo possibly leaning to selling themselves this TDL if they continue to lose (couple games in hand I think they have but could be wrong). Canucks are keeping JT I think, unless for some reason a team does make them an offer we can't refuse. CDC talks about clearing cap space in moving JT, I am okay either way as long as JT doesn't behave like a spoilt brat on the ice anymore. Those antics are too often and if he can keep them in check he serves a fit here with the Canucks. Canucks need to move 1 of these 2 higher priced wingers: Boeser, Garland. Maybe Boston would take Garland in a deal around Debrusk? Canucks save about 500k on the cap but can flip Debrusk next TDL if they want to before his contract is up. Garland is from that neck of the woods and is young for the Boston roster something they need to try and add to remain competitive. Eventually the rat will retire but soon if Krejci and Bergeron nearing the end seemingly taking it year by year at this point in their careers
  4. Thought this was a rumour thread about JT not the lovers vs traders JT thread....
  5. Can we retain % on Myers and attach him to JT and ship them both off to Boston for Carlo+? Maybe Myers can play a bit better on a top end team with better structure...who am I kidding!
  6. Philly ain't that good and we are due for a win...can't lose out the rest of the way, might as well win games at home for the paying fans who suffer financially for going to the games live!
  7. Canucks are winnning tonight, Philly is a beatable game. Hope Wolanin gets into the lineup and has a good showing as he did well in the pre season yet we had to traded a 2nd to get Stillman and dump Dickinson...Bet we could have dealt Dickinson for Greenway possibly now if he was still on the team, oh well it is what it is!
  8. Would be a good fit for Bieksa to do that segment. Oak is old and just makes it awkward but not sure if CBC will change that until he retires...that may be soon he isn't that young!
  9. Yup....we somehow moved the 3m Hamonic for a 3rd, Canucks fans are happy about that and then we go and trade a 3rd for a meh Laffs D man...If we had 1.5m more in cap space is Bo a Canuck still...oh how the Borvat fan club must wonder about what could of been!?!?
  10. This might actually help the laffs get past Tampa Bay if O Reilly can play close to his best. This was the Canucks first missed opportunity trying to obtain a mid round pick, Minnesota did good imo $74,000 got them a 4th round pick. Smart move by Minnesota imo wish GM Alvin would have gotten this deal for the Canucks!
  11. they want to clear PoolParty's 3m cap hit though, so take that into consideration it should mean Canucks if they take back a salary like that should be hoping to get a 2nd roun pick back in return. Otherwise, we might get a 3rd round pick offered to us. I like Schenn but he is what he is on a good team he isn't an everyday player unless there are injuries see his TB tenure. Schenn brings grit and experience but he is slow, and well not fair to him cause our whole D core is brutal but he makes his mistakes too just with a sub 1m cap hit we brush those away given he has far outperformed anyones expectations since he signed the 2 yr deal. Asset management, move Schenn and do it soon imo before his kids birth gets too close. Send him to Alberta or maybe Seattle, not far away for him to travel and those teams could maybe use a depth D like Schenn
  12. These 2 call ups...are the baby Canucks thin roster wise or is this to reward some echl players with some decent play? Seems like we have rhd in Abby unless some of these players are injured: Juulsen, Keeper, Woo
  13. Why wasn't this done a long time ago... PoolParty 2024 2nd round pick for Schenn?
  14. Like the hits by Juulsen...any chance this kid gets a call up after the TDL when we hopefully move out Schenn and maybe another depth D for a late round pick?
  15. I hope we don't rush Raty, hopefully he finds his groove come the playoffs and even another full year in the AHL wouldn't be the worst fo rhis development. That said, if he has a great off season and comes to training camp and impresses, well then the kid might start in the NHL or be first call up when that is called upon
  16. Wish him all the best tonight, looking forward to seeing how he does but with our D group we ice on a nightly basis I hope this doesn't ruin his confidence. Enjoy your 1st NHL game Arthurs and soak it in and enjoy the NHL pay cheque for a bit before you head back to the AHL and hopefully go on a long playoff run with the baby Canucks!
  17. Why...NYI likely build off the addition of Horvat and likely make playoffs next year, so giving the 2024 1st would be much more likely then them saying here Vancouver take a top 10 pick in 2023 instead even though we put in conditions regarding the pick. I just do NOT see that happening...
  18. I would NOT be happy with Anaheim getting Bedard, if the Canucks do NOT get him then I want a team in the eastern conference to get him so we only play him twice a year
  19. Is Arseneau on an NHL 2 way deal or just an AHL contract, anyone know? If he is on an NHL deal would like to see him get a call up to bring some grit for a few games, see if that sparks the team
  20. If true good riddance to Bo, you had ONE 60pt season heading into the last year of your deal. RNH is a solid comparable to Horvat, RNH did NOT have a career year like Bo during his contract year. Long term to remain captain and still make 40-50m on another NHL contract was nothing to sneeze at. Bo, bet on himself was likely annoyed that JT got signed and Mikheyev getting a big contract so he bet on himself and Bo won in terms of AAV. Is Bo going to play his entire career with 1 team or be the longest tenure captain in team history...not anymore but that was largely done by Bo to Bo himself. Man that JT sulking and 4min penalty was pathetic to see, I would seriously remove the A from his jersey...not the kind of emotion you want to see from one of your so called "leaders". His attitude is going to wear out its welcome on the team with most players at some point and if team chooses to keep JT they may lose EP long term possibly as a worst case scenario. They could lose Hughes or Demko as well, but not sure JT would be an easy trade to make, something I do NOT see this management group considering this TDL
  21. We aren't competing for a cup in the next 2 years, so when his dead cap hit is higher we should be a playoff team that is then handcuffed by the OEL buyout. Tough to do but you keep OEL for as long as the contract is or near close to it. Unless.....you find a trade partner for him but that likely means Canucks retain and likely more than Arizona....another fail by Benning to get such little retainment for a guy who had 2 teams to be dealt to. Canucks should have gotten OEL for cheap, instead Arizona bent Vancouver over and took them for a ransom!
