  1. Would be all for Schenn to Coilers for a 2nd round pick and PoolParty. Worse case we walk away from him as an rfa and he becomes an ufa, if he plays a game that fits our teams need maybe he can be signed for under his 3m cap hit number? If Canucks are deadset on trading Boeser, bringing in PoolParty for the rest of the year is a super low risk move
  2. Bellows might be a Tocchet type of player, do we put in a claim is anyones guess until tomorrow 11am pst...
  3. Keep Boeser!!!!!! Canucks are foolish to move Brock this year...Boeser I believe will be more trusted than Kuzmenko with coach Tocchet. Kuz can change that of course but he will have to buy in to what the coach wants him to do. Trade the Wild Myers with retention for Greenway. Myers can replace Dumba for next year at a lesser cap hit.
  4. When i see the cost of cable, then the cost of each individual streaming platform, there will be people out there who pay more on streaming than a tv package. Life is so buy, I don't see how one has time to pay for streaming services & or cable. I have cable strictly for recording Canucks games, there are enough other shows we record to watch that gives us more options of things to watch than we have time for. We have access to some streaming services, but if Netflix thinks I am going to pay to watch the odd show or movie they are wrong!
  5. Canucks GM chose to sign JT over Horvat. I would be shocked if they move JT...but if they did would have to think another C would be coming back who can play NHL minutes immediately. Dries has been a nice story, but I have seen more than enough from him time to throw him on waivers to go back to Abbotsford. Sadly we have 0 C depth in the AHL to call up. Karlsson been strictly a winger down in the A? That is too bad if true cause he is a right shot
  6. If that Bo showed up all the time he would be here and JT would have been dealt last year. Team needed to have a new leader, run with a bunch of A's for now and not rush naming a C imo.
  7. Not often enough is the answer. we did it for some tweeners in the past like Boyd, Vesey and Richardson. Canucks just have too many wingers, I would have still claimed Tolvanen as well but he is a winger, was he waived before or after we sent Hog and Pod to the AHL?
  8. Friedman mentioned Carolina and JT Miller, I don't see it and Carolina's track record shows they dont sign big contracts to guys well into their 30s. I could see Boston being interested in JT. JT Schenn for Carlo 2023 1st round pick 2024 2nd round pick
  9. Would NJ part with Sharangovich in a deal for Boeser, he has fallen off production wise and is a pending RFA this summer with a 2m cap hit. He has some size, not sure how he is used in NJ if he is on the PP2 or any PK unit I didn't pay attention to him when we played them. Wonder if he is another under 25yr old player Canucks have an eye on who they think could benefit from a change of scenery like AB72
  10. It wouldn't be good optics but in Boeser's case he has been through alot both injury wise and whats gone on in his personal life. A fresh start might be what is best for him, but then why sign a 3yr deal if that was the case, Brock could have taken the QO of 7.5m instead. I don't blame Brock for signing the 3 yr deal a guaranted near 20m is nothing to sneeze at, especially him knowing he has been hurt and likely not the same player he was when he first entered the league. I hope with Tocchet as coach the team will play tougher as a group and they might try to acquire another player or two who plays that style of game. Brock took that bad hit into the boards few years back and hurt his back, we have see EP get manhandled without any real protection so I would hate to see players like EP, QH etc have runs taken at them. Heck, Demko our goalie has been hit on more than one occasion with next to no pushback from the team. Brock's agent today said Brock has not asked out of Vancouver and he does love the city so I am hoping the mangement is patient with him and tries to find a spot in their top 6 for him to succeed. I would be okay if they attempt a PP1 position for Boeser and if it is not quite working after a good 10 games or so then move him back to the 2nd PP unit...someone has to play on that unit!
  11. I would waive Martin, Delia has been the better goalie but may not matter who they waive a team may make a claim regardless of who we waive to have some free goalie depth. That or the Canucks could just waive Stillman and the team runs with 7D and 3G on the roster. I would try to trade 1 of Martin or Delia before the TDL for a late round pick if a team is after some G depth and would send Stillman down to Abbotsford instead. If a team wants to claim Stillman go for it but his contract is almost fully covered if he is buried in the AHL. Canucks should try to move Schenn and another depth D for a later pick or prospect, teams always want that heading into the playoffs.
  12. I still am hoping our 2022 1st rounder can pan out and become something for us it down the road, no need to rush him we have tons of wingers! Would like to see Canucks take a late round flyer on Pickering's teammate and leading scoring a small C named Mathew Ward who is from Kamloops BC I believe. Undersized but had 90 pim last year and over 70pim so far this year so must have some bite to his game
  13. I agree, just don't want the team to sell LOW on Boeser at this TDL. A full off season after his dad's passing where he can work hard training and come to training camp in the best shape and a chip on his shoulder could happen. I think Boeser is underrated as a playmaker, he makes good plays with the puck and I think could be a good fit on a line with EP and Kuz if given time to settle in with them. Move AB72 to JT's wing with Podkolzin and run with that top 6 group for a stretch of games and see how the chemistry is. There might be some musical chairs with the roster given we have a new coach who is assessing the players and where they fit into how he wants to the team to play throughout the lineup
  14. Wouldn't it be nice if the Canucks had a Trouba on the back end to pair with Hughes!?!? Guy has been making some HARD yet CLEAN hits...it is sad that the hits like that are almost gone from the league but when they do occur the response is to fight...That is when you need a Schenn or Joshua to just flatten a Panarin or Fox into the boards, but that is NOT the Canuck way the Canuck way is to scurry and hide from it...glad we got rid of Bo for that reason as we was Sedined and we all know how Sedning went in 2011...a smurf takes shots at your teams best players and zero response in return but i digress!
  15. Joshua has the physical features but that is not the style of his game. Team misses MacEwen, he had speed, grit and would hit...was a perfect 4th liner to keep around if you had half a brain! I wish Garland and Boeser were switched around in the lineup, maybe after the road trip maybe Boeser gets a chance at the Horvat bumper spot on the PP. See how AB72 does there but I think Boeser has decent hands and would be able to deflect shots well from that spot as well
  16. If CDC was GM of the Canucks there would be at least ONE Stanley Cup banner in the rafters!
  17. CDC: Quinn Hughes = Overrated...f**king BS! Go cheer for another team if you think Hughes is not a gem of a player the Canucks have longed their entire franchise existance!!!! Hughes will destroy Canucks all time D points record before his contract is up. Sure we wish he had a 100mph slapshot from the the point, but imo Hughes is by far the most dynamic D this team has ever had. Canucks GM's top priority should be finding him a proper RHD partner to complement playing with Hughes, would have been nice to get that in the Horvat deal but Canucks liked the NYI offer and they think AB72 must hav untapped NHL scoring potential.
  18. this got a thread...ugh! If Canucks remote think of dealing Quinn they better see what Rathbone can do when he is healthy. Would SUCK to trade Hughes, Canucks have never had a D like him and he will have broken ever D record before his contract is up! Would take an insane overpayment to consider moving him. Best be getting 2 top end D prospects back plus more!
  19. When I saw theis I thought it was going to be Hoglander for Wahlstrom...I was wrong!
  20. Schenn back to Tampa Bay for: Roman Schmidt, 19yr old 6'5 RHD 2021 3rd round pick P. Myers 26yr old tall RHD, project D in mid 20s who's cap hit goes down to 1.4m for next season. So nearly all his cap hit would clear if he needed to be waived to AHL Thoughts?
  21. Thought beauvillier was #72 & Studnicka is #18 currently also. AB said he was happy about being able to wear 72 after it NOT being allowed by NYI
  22. I would prefer his not burn an entire year of his ELC and him sign a PTO to play in the AHL...This is not a top end draft pick, why cater to them and remove an entire year of his contract, all so we don't see him sign elsewhere...that loophole needs fixed ASAP.
  23. Are they trying Klim at C or has he always been listed as a C on here...whoever made his thread was just hoping we would draft more C's maybe so wanted to list him as a C over wing!?!?
  24. I am not surprised by this stat...OEL plays a lot and the Canucks are a BAD team...Thanks Benning for this boat anchor! Could've had multiple picks and Horvat instead if we had some patient!!!
