[GDT/PGT] Canucks @ Kings - Sep 21st 2019 - 6PM from Salt Lake City Utah

I hope JB is working REAL hard on a trade or 2. Have to think it's just a matter of days before Goldobin hits waivers. Try to get a pick or prospect back for him at least before he gets claimed for free. See no reason why we should wait any longer to waive Schaller, he won't be here opening night...to me anyways. LE likely stays, rather he be sent down and we use Gaud as a winger if he makes TG final roster -
all have failed to impress in the pre season. None had a chance to make the final roster anyway though with our depth, maybe Bouch or Saut get claimed? Either way best of luck to them

Is Kielly going to be in the ECHL? Bachman and McIntyre were NOT impressive at all in pre season. Wonder if Dipietro will start in the ECHL, have to think with Kielly being a College G who is a bit older and use to better competition that he would make Utica and give Dipietro lower level competition in the ECHL. Mikey has lots of work to do to become a pro G. he leaves the top of the net open, has great athleticism and lots of time to grow and develop in the lower pro ranks. 0 rush or need for him to be put in a situation he isn't ready for and get lit up and lose his confidence. See how he develops of the next 2-3 years -
He has great qualities as a player/leader and its just a matter of days before he is named Captain. Well brought up kid who comes across very mature for his age, props to his parents! While there may be an age gap from rookies to vets who have kids, wives etc. It has to be tough when a guy goes across the country at a young age to first start playing pro, or in some cases across the world. Is it the Captain's job to watch these young kids 24/7, not at all. But I am sure the Sedin's had him over for dinner or told Bo he could call if he needed to talk etc. The bonus to this for Bo at least was he worked very hard at improving his game at a young age and we have all seen the improvements. If that quality could only be put into all our younger players...that is a defining trait to have. I think Bo will be a GREAT Captain for the Canucks and maybe from his experience of loneliness when he first arrived will make him step up and take younger players under his way or even under his roof going forward (lemieux/Crosby-esque) Wonder if Bo would ever consider moving to Vancouver year round like Trevor Linden did. He can still go back to visit family. He can always get away from the coast and move to the beautiful Okanagan and have dozens of NHL players to train with during the summer.

Can't believe this game isn't televised...what a joke. Pay for cable and all the sports channels and you don't get a Canuck game in today's age... Be nice if someone with streaming knowledge would post a link to watch tonight's game! -
so much for training camp info, just went into a bicker fest about this roster vs 2011...yay!
-
I thought this was going to be Tanev, Baertschi/Goldobin and a 2nd for Ehlers
-
Goldobin will get claimed if he is waived, would be a shock if he didn't. Skilled players like him almost always get snagged when they first get put on waivers. If we wanted to try and send someone down without getting claimed ala Markstrom they probably should have already done it. Even then I think more than 1 team would put in a claim for Goldy. A forward with his skill leve usually gets a couple chances before he is out of the league
-
My guess is #21 will be on the NHL roster opening night. Don't want him to be but I think he will be
-
Best of luck to you this upcoming season in Flint Mr. Keppen!

Top Utica minutes I assume? Rather send Loui down and Keep Gaudette

Why are some people on CDC saying Brock needs a new agent because he didn't sign this supposed 7yr x7m per season deal? That is a great deal for the Canucks, but it 100% means Brock and his agent feel if he can remain healthy that he will be worth millions more per year in a short time...hence the 3 year contract. It is a player betting on himself. Just like Marner, Mathews etc. Any of the higher end RFA's who are not signing max term contracts are waiting for the cap to go up more, this TV deal that is suppose to help the cap go up. So they all want an evener BIGGER payday down the line while they are still considered in their prime (late 20's) Don't forget how $$$ makes people very greedy. Glad Brock his here, be interesting to see what his new 8yr deal will be in 2-3 years time...9/10/11m or more per year??
-
Glad the saga is over, I would have loved a long term deal as I think it could have saved us a couple M per season against the cap, but that is up to Brock to stay healthy and produce like an Elite level player for these next 3 years
-
BB6 is back
-
Can't see this dragging out more than 48-72hrs. Konecny signing helps set the bar if we are going for similar term. He got 5.5m Brock gets 1-2m more annually on the same deal
