  1. A huge leaf tornado developed in my backyard and lasted for about 30 seconds. That's what you get for not raking, I guess.
  2. The area on top of the front wheels on a low-floor bus. It wasn't a big chair.
  3. From last winter: Yes, I could touch my neighbor's roof. And steal his roof tiles. Not that I did it. *whistles innocently* After I took this video, it snowed an additional 8 inches.
  4. I've heard a story of someone carrying something like that on the bus once. Also saw someone carry a chair on the 99 B-Line from UBC Loop. Driver let him on first for safety reasons (so he can put the chair in a non-obstructive place). So I guess you can give it a shot.
  5. Huge winds here in west Richmond for about an hour now.
  6. Yeah, it's not the first time he's a jerk. He did that in my room before too.
  7. My dog is being a jerk tonight. Basically came to the living room where I was. Stepped on my toes several times in a one-minute span. I told him to cut it out. He went over a few feet from me and promptly took a leak on the floor and walked away, as if to say "screw you." (He's paper-trained, so he definitely wasn't bugging me about needing to go outside to take a leak. He was just being a jerk.)
  8. That's not weird at all.

  9. On a totally different tone... Here's a solution for poppy pins. And on a more serious note...
  10. Well, you could keep drinking but you'll probably end up like these guys...
  11. So anyone here skipping work/school on Friday to make it a super long weekend?
  12. Lucky you. Like I said, I was there for their coldest winter in recorded history.
  13. It normally doesn't... It was supposed to be -1 C highs and -10 C lows. Instead, I got -11 C and -20 C, respectively. And I wanna see SFU Guy again too. I've missed him.
  14. Actually, it's not normally that bad. But I was there in time for their coldest winter in recorded history. Ask your relatives about the winter last year.
  15. I dunno about anyone else, but simply seeing this thread awaken again made my heart stop and panic. Did I tell anyone here that my winter was -21 degrees C last winter?
  16. During the insane snowfall a couple years ago, a bunch of students and I were looking at the webcams at SFU just for the hell of it. There was a security guy at the entrance to the university blocking the road and telling people to turn back due to the campus being closed. As he did that, buses and cars around him got stuck. He helped them out by digging them out with a handheld stop sign (no shovel available)... and then he realized his patrol car had been plowed in during all of that. Stuck, he had no choice but to hang around, throw around some snowballs, etc. He amused us for a looooong time that night, lol.
  17. The end of daylight savings time is screwing everything up. It's now dark around 4pm-ish. I'm trying to adjust to the time change, which is screwing up my dog's timing also; he was whining to me for dinner around 3:30pm today. And whenever an overseas relative calls, they're an hour off. Grrrrrrrr. I wish we can stay in daylight savings time...
  18. "That's right. I have my own number. Whatcha gonna do about it, punk?"
  19. Holy Teemu, the rain is really coming down tonight.
  20. I will use it to take over the world.
