Our D has also been a big problem. Check the scoring from the backend and you will see lots of single digits and zeros except Hughes. -

Top guys like Boeser were a ghost. And our so called defensive specialist in Dickenson let McDavid to easily coast and put the puck in the back of the net instead of tying up his stick. -

Trade him to Stars for Klingberg. Stars will not get much either for their soon to be UFA D amd maybe we could sign him to shore up our D. -

He can be if you put him next to Sid or someone like Barkov. He has proven to score close to 30 multiple times. -

I never saw what was so special about Dickenson that Benning hyped him so much? Zero offensive ability, mediocre defensive plays and worst off all, being mediocre in faceoffs and having to play wing sometimes. The most frustrating plater to watch. Had 100 breakaways on Blues last game and couldnt even come close to scoring one. -

Boeser is still considered a 1st line winger in NHL and his name carries weight. Watch GMs like Burke give 1st and prospect just to get that top 6 sniper. He will be in demand, trust me. Foligno was trash when he was playing for Leafs in playoffs, so what edge did he give them? Nothing -

Boeser will be strictly a rental and we would get a 1st for him easily. His value didnt plummet to the likes of Dowling in one season, did it? Pylons like Foligno get 1st on the deadline. -

Too bad thats the only ones. He got everything wrong from OEL, to Myers to Dickenson and Pearson. Thats after giving up our 9th overall to trade away Ericksson, Roussel, Beagle. We still have Hamonic who has only played a handful of games this season. Good lord, at least Benning got fired before making more dumb signings and trades. -

I still rather have Stone at that price than Boeaer at $7.5 million. Stone actually shoots the puck and can skate. -

Hunt, Dickenson...all pylons. Nothing Bruce can do, I mean Myers isnt better dumping the puck on a 3 on 3 -

I think he will easily get a 1st maybe even a 1st and a 2nd. We have duds like Foligno getting first in TD so Boeser will probably get a bit more than that. -

If you want to get high value returns, then we cpuld also trade Demko and Hughes and get lots of picks. I want to know what is your end game? Overpay mediocre players like Boeser that take lots of the cap space we need for D? We need to off load deadweights in order to fix D, we cant draft 5 defensemen that can make the NHL in 3 years. Its impossible to be that successful in drafting that many quality players. we have to also sign free agents or do trades to fill some of the gaps. -

a 1st round pick, thats it. Trust me if he re-signs with Canucks, he will become another OEL contract. I dont see Boeser getting better, we have seen enough from him now to decide what to do with him. -

I dont care at this point, because once he re-signs for $7.5 million long term Canucks would then need to pay just to off load Boeser in the future. I would be happy just to get a 1st for Boeser at this point. -

Miller wont ask for $9.5 million. name me a 70 point players that makes $10 mil. Still, would you rather have Boeser make $7.5 million or Miller make $9.5million? I rather have miller at this point. -

Thats not a surprise with the pylons Benning has assembled from the back end probably under the advise of clowns like Green. We have Hunt Schenn, Bouroughs, Poolman and Myers who are all slow and provide zero offense. Then we have OEL who has been declining since his Coyotes days and only has like 6 points. The only offense from backend is Hughes and he is playing 30 minutes some nights. JR should trade Boeser and get Klingberg. Somehow trade Poolman and Hamonic to make more cap space. -

He wont walk, JR will re-sign him and trade Boeser, just watch. You keep talking about Miller bringing assets while signing Boeser will be another anchor added to this team, as if we dont have enough of them already. Canucks should sign players that can contribute and get rid of the dead weights. -

No they were good once Bruce came on board and we had a 100% healthy lineup, then the postponement BS and Covid hit and we went on that deadly florida road trip. I dont expect a half depleted lineup to win any games. -

Who cares about how much he gets because he will take up north of $7 million and I rather have Miller for that price. Trade Brock and use the money to shore up the D. Its not like Boeser has been a difference maker in any games so far this season. He just floats most games, very slow and loses the puck easily and his shot has not been accurate at all. He is a fringe 25 goal scorer at best. -

where is part time Hamonic? Am sick of him being absent every season while getting paid $3 million. JR better trade his ass on the deadline amd get a pick out of him. -

They are also missing half their top 6, Demko, Hamonic and playing with their 5th stringer. Canucks are not a deep team, what did you expect? Thats why Benning got the boot, he made a shallow team after giving up all those prospects and picks like candy. Now we have to play waiver fodders like Lammikho as the 2nd line C until Horvat gets back. -

At this point, I think its best to trade Boeser and try to extend Miller. I feel like Boeser is just not reliable and too inconsistent to be getting paid north of $7 million. He reminds me of skinner.
