who on the team has yet to test positive? I think the ones affected was all our D except Hughes, plus Motte, Horvat, Garland, Boeser, Pettersson, now Miller and Demko and Halak. Has Podkolzin been affected yet? I think after these series of infection most of our team will have enough antibodies to finish the season and not be affected except Hughes. Its best to just get it now and get it over with. I think this team can easily make the playoffs, we are what? 5 points out with games in hand against the Cali teams. The only threat might be Calgary and Vegas was always the divisional winner. So the third spot is open for anyone to take and I take Canucks over Cali teams and Oilers easily.

The pacific division is wide open for the taking, what are you talking about. If anything Canucks have a good chance of making playoffs just because covid is also affecting other teams too.

[Report] Canucks name Jim Rutherford as president & interim GM

Pretty idiotic to deal our 9th overall last off season to get better now, then next year trade our good roster players for picks and prospects to get better in the future then probably next off season trade those picks and prospects again to fill the holes left when we traded those good roster players in previous years for picks and prospects. Dont you find it idiotic? Either fully rebuild or fully go in, this half step doing rebuilds and then next year competing for a cup gets us nowhere. Teams either have a contending roster and bad farm teams or have great farm teams but are mediocre NHL teams. You cant have a number 1 farm team AND be a cup contender at same time. Stop day dreaming about it, that will never happen in NHL. -

Kane has terrible attitude though but if he can bring that 30 goal scoring touch, that would be a cup caliber forward group. -

so true, people forget the odds usually mean Canucks continuation of playing like crap and getting in based on 2% luck that all the other teams lose. The odds never takes into account team improvement, sudden coaching changes that changes the team overall etc. Only thing odds are good for is usually in casino or playing lottery where its 100% based on luck. -

who cares, we will catch them as tbey are within striking distance with 40 games to go. Also games in hand must be won and the more games in hand you have, the more back to back games you will have. Now tell me if that is an advantage now or a disadvantage? -
[Waivers] Alex Belzile, Cam Dineen

Gillis would actually have a better coach and team on the ice than Ron Francis, thats for sure. Even a monkey would have done better, you make it sound like Ron Francis is some genius, he is not. I mean not picking Domi, Tarasenko etc. was pretty stupid. He picked Lind instead of other available Canucks players. Then he hires the worst coach in Hakstol which philly got rid of, instead of hiring Bruce or claude julien who are a million times better. -

That seems to be more of the coaching problem causing this. Reminds me of how everyone sucked under Green. Canucks should try to get Larsson while his stock is low due to the terrible coaching. -

Ron Francis is a good player but terrible GM -
Thats not buy low, thats buy high. Buy low means getting Forsling off waivers getting Bennett for a song and trading scraps for Juolevi. You need a pro scout that can spot talent that is underappreciated.

The dumpster fire that is the Edmonton Oilers
DefCon1 replied to MikeBossy's topic in General Hockey Discussion
With Bruce, Oilers is easy to beat. No goalie and crap D with only 2 elite forwards. We beat washington which is 100× better than Foilers. Foilers are no Tampa or Florida. -

I doubt they will go back to a 65% PP. That was a fluke, cmon, they only won games due to their PP.
