no love for Stan Smyl? The guy has been in the Canucks front office system for years and has been Gillis' go to guy for the last few seasons. If you want a Vancouver icon who knows the game, Smyl is the guy. He has way more experience and expertise in the position than bringing Linden in. Not saying Gillis should be replaced by any stretch, I think he is the best GM this franchise has ever had. But, if he ever were to go, Smyl should be the next GM of the Canucks.

only really upset about this because he's a BC boy. I don't really want Garrison. Again he's gaining big amounts of favour on these boards because he is from White Rock. Asking way too much and he doesn't address what we really need in my opinion. Need a rock solid, dependable top 4 defenseman, not a PP specific guy. Damn I want Willie Mitchell back...
