  1. I'm surprised no one has started a thread yet, Traded from Frorida to Vancouver for Luongo. Originally drafted 31st overall in the 2008 draft. Jacob Markstrom - Goaltender Height: 6'6" Weight: 196lb / 89kg Catches Left Talent Analysis Markstrom is a tall, fluid goaltender with tremendous technique and composure who stays relaxed and cool under pressure. Markstrom plays a butterfly style with a good glove and has fine positioning and agility in net. His long legs can sometimes pose a problem by creating gaps as he drops to the butterfly, but experience will help him improve in that area. Markstrom rebounded last season from past knee injuries to prove his durability. 2. Vote vote vote Another reason why he should get a vote!
  3. Weise was expendable nice to see a solid player coming back if it's Diaz i'm very happy with this deal. Diaz can slow as the 6th/7th dman that could provide an offensive lift. Even though he's a softer player we have other players that can step it up in the toughness area and provide some gritty checks.
  4. And take on an extra 1.75m per year? No thanks LOL, rather have Booth's 1 more year of contract then UFA then to have Clarkson's multi-year contract that doesn't help us at all.
  5. #FreeTorts is trending on twitter now lol Nhl is a joke what's next we lose our assistant coaches?
  6. His IQ shouldn't be overlooked there's a reason why he scored all those goals in the preseason being in the right position.
  7. Gaunce + Horvat to lead our PK situations probably we'll be defensively sound for quite sometime with shutdown centers like these two.
  8. 5-0 Let's go Kesler power houses again. 3 Goals 2 Assists D.Sedin Santorelli. for the other 2
  9. Looking like Archibald might steal Booth's spot. Rather have Archibald than Booth at this point for durability wise..
  10. Quit speaking out of the blue, Calgary was in speculation of trading the 6th overall to Vancouver but decided their Center depth was way too shallow so the best pick at number 6 was Monahan. Comparing the two is pretty redundant imo because Monahan was playing on a very bad junior team which he carried versus Horvat who had to excel with the numerous talented players in the London Knights system. Monahan at the time was BETTER pick for Calgary rather then trading it. As well to reply back at your speculation that Calgary dangled the 6th in the first place is just YOUR pure speculation that Calgary even dangled it. If i remember correctly the ONLY team that even offered was EDM offering the 7th pick + a Prospect + Roster player. I heard NO such thing as Calgary in speculation for Schneider even in consideration for the 6th overall pick.
  11. Pretty sure we got enough swedes to convince him to come back to us right? Haha, Sedins....Lack... Edler.... Eriksson.... Andersson.... Tommernes...
  12. Not resigning the Sedins is like Pittsburgh letting Crosby and Malkin walk. or Toews + Kane.... facepalm.
  13. Horvat should be in the minors to season a bit more.. but on the other hand we should consider Jensen + Schroedoer.
  14. Dog taking it like a champ looking at it like nothing haha
  15. More like he had an "excellent." type of look like Mr.Burns has when he has his eyes on a target.
  16. I agree with the top part, Honestly if you looked at the last two years of trying to rebuild the image of the Canucks by promoting the RoH, giving Bure honors for a night and representing the older Canucks players he's been trying to do that for a while now. But honestly the major problem was the coach probably sending mixed signals to the GM because honestly the coach is pretty much the eyes ears and mouth on the player level that can contribute important factors to making decisions.
  17. To teams that need an offensive push in their system, looking to go young, a kid who has talent, speed, skill, and willingness to back check. I'm pretty sure there's teams looking for that. Hell probably the Blues could use Schroeder and stick Backes and Stewart with him and he'll be protected by two big bodies no problem.
  18. My guess is there's two ways he could go with Gaunce. Let him up on the team to play 3rd line center minutes or send him back down and let him polish up his game to dominate the junior level again. Really a toss up between two scenarios and I think either scenario Gaunce will benefit in regardless. I really hope that he stays in Junior and we pick up a bonafide 3rd line center so Gaunce could get some more experience and work on his game a bit more.
