  1. As @Elias Pettersson pointed out, teams can just offer sheet either guy for a second and get them. They're not going to pay much more than that. Nobody's helping Vegas out of that hole they dug themselves, out of the kindness of their hearts
  2. Moving Miller will clear some cap (and have pieces coming back), as will the likely Myers move (assuming some of those Miller pieces include a RD). Never mind if we manage to move off some of Pearson, Dickenson etc. We're also not likely going after any of the big fish UFA's. I'd be pretty happy targeting RFA guys like Roy/Hague out of Vegas and Lyubushkin as a UFA. Some depth F's like Sturm, Lazar etc as well. Patience grasshopper
  3. Doesn't really help us either. Functioning in LTIR isn't ideal. If we can manage to get one or both of Roy and/or Hague by "helping" Vegas out with their cap by sending them some usable LTIR space that they're already going to be in, while bringing in Brossoit to compete with Martin for backup/AHL duty...yes please!
  4. Yup, that's probably about "plan J" if all the options they're working on lining up, fall through. Which is far from horrible if they literally can't manage any changes (which I think is highly unlikely).
  5. Yeah there was quite a few I was frequently arguing with. Pretty sure @HKSR was one
  6. Hopefully that's another thing Management fixes this summer as well. Something like Ferland's LTIR and a younger prospect to VGK for Brossoit (cap) for Roy. Bonus points (and added pieces on our end) if we can get Hague too.
  7. $6.66 was actually my guess the other day in the trade/contract thread Like I've been saying for over a year now, people were far too worried about his QO. He signed a deal at a lesser AAV, just like I said was likely to happen.
  8. Good thing we have a bevy of highly qualified management to sort that out.
  9. Yeah, he is. Nope, I was on Marino before that was even rumoured. Again, I have zero issues with acquiring Schneider either. Happy to find a "Seabrook" and/or a "Tanev". It's not mutually exclusive. Widen your focus. He's got a couple very solid, to 4 defensive years in PIT at a still very young, 24. Welcome to life. Nothing is guaranteed. They're almost the same age lol Bruh you started this whole train with a series of completely misguided posts that had no basis in reality. Just own it. Nobody is trading us an established, young, "25 minute D". Not going to happen. Guys like Tanev are in fact first pair D that don't play "25 minutes". And like Tanev, Marino could easily develop in to a smooth, steady, top pair, 20 minutes, defensive D. Which would be just fine as part of a Miller trade. You undervalue him.
  10. Should be a lot more trans than just SEA or ARZ that would have interest. https://canucksarmy.com/2022/06/07/the-trade-market-for-canucks-d-tyler-myers-might-be-14-teams-bigger-than-we-thought/ I don't think we'd have any issues moving him, even if the return isn't earth shattering.
  11. Better options for that +/-$3m than Zacha IMO. FAR rather trade for Roy for example.
  12. Just as a thought experiment...Move Bo to C Pettersson and Podkolzin and sign Copp to 2C...? We'd still need a 3C in that scenario but... Petterson, Horvat, Podkolzin Kuzmenko, Copp, Boeser
  13. A proven, 24 year old "Tanev" with a another couple of really good prospects and a first could have landed an expiring top F. You're as off on this as your were on your 25 minutes remark.
  14. Is he a top pairing guy NOW? No. Again, neither was Tanev when he was 24. Neither is Schneider now (and he's no guarantee to become one either). Can either become one? Absolutely. We do? Hughes and OEL are both #1's. Myers is probably a #3-4... Then we have a bunch of #5 and downs lol. Feel free to keep trying to move the goal posts of your original post that had more holes than scatter shot Swiss cheese I guess. It's ok...
  15. 2nd OA feels more like it would be available for a PLD or similar that can grow with the team for the next 8'ish years. Doubt that many top 10 picks would be available for Miller, outside of perhaps Philly as a long shot.
  16. Has played with OEL, Chychrun and Reilly... What a collection of plugs. Makes just as much/more sense as Schenn playing there.
  17. Neither is overpaid, we just a have an ill fitting collection of D that don't make a cohesive unit. And we'd be foolish to move OEL out IMO, never mind his NMC that basically nixes any thoughts of that anyway. I'd be thrilled to see Myers moved out due to that ill fitting issue, not because he's a bad D or "overpaid" though. That and he expires in two years anyway and we need a succession plan in place there. And thankfully, the defensive D we need/that would fit better there, also happen to be cheaper.
  18. Going to be a fun summer of musical chairs and desperate GM's left without a seat
