  1. Move out Miller for futures, Myers replaced with cheaper Lyubushkin...that's a pretty good start.
  2. Again, still not true. As an extreme example, if we move Miller for pure futures and turn around and sign Forsberg, are we a "worse" team? IMO, we're arguably better (with a nice basket of futures) in that scenario. Our fortunes next year are just as much/more about what other corresponding moves they make after any Miller move.
  3. The asking price at the TDL was understandably more. It doesn't mean the offers were. And by reports, they weren't. If they were, he'd be gone. If we're getting roughly the same value this summer as we were actually offered at the TDL, what's the difference Alf? No need to get fixated on a (inaccurate) premise.
  4. Lyubushkin was hardly the cause of his "poor" season.
  5. Minnesota doesn't need Boeser and we don't need Dumba. This constantly reiterated, bad meme of a trade proposal, needs to die.
  6. I don't want him to "replace" Myers. OEL already does that (at a superior level). I want him to be a fit playing beside OEL to allow him to flourish, be able to PK etc. He's not the "all around" D Myers is by any means, but he'd be far cheaper, better defensively, younger and arguably/likely a better fit to play with OEL so that OEL can expand his offensive play. In other words, he checks basically all of our needed boxes.
  7. Manson isn't going to be cheap (though I do like him). I like Lyubushkin as a target to "replace" Myers personally. Shouldn't cost as much as he's less "well rounded" (offensive) compared to Myers. But he's a VERY solid defensive D. Then if we can swing Miller for another younger right D... Hughes, Trade OEL, Lyubushkin And then some mix of Rathbone, Dermott, Poolman, Schenn, Burroughs making up the bottom 4.
  8. We started with the twins... and then I quickly got a vasectomy
  9. "Only" 2 kids, but otherwise the same. Couldn't agree more. Thanks OP!
  10. Plenty of playoff teams would love to add Pearson. Great, complimentary, board battling, 2 way, middle 6 guy. Also the same reason I doubt we're in a big hurry to move him out or "dump" him. He'd have legit, solid value, especially at the TDL of his last year. Barring a "hockey trade" that fills a greater need, use him as the solid depth he is, until that TDL. Then grab the picks/prospects he'll be worth at that point.
  11. Trade one of Miller/Garland for a RHD+, add a cheaper, better defensively (if less well rounded) guy like Lyubushkin via UFA.... Hughes, trade OEL, Lyubushkin Some combo of Rathbone/Dermott/Schenn/Poolman/Burroughs to round out the bottom 4, all while shedding cap.
  12. Great series and better luck next year @Sergei Bobrovsky! Looks like we're playing @Dak Prescott in round two and best of luck to him! Our Round 2 roster: Edit: *Sorry, if we can just throw Scanlin on the roster (forgot to edit the reserve)
  13. Chytil is more of a W'er who can fill in at C. Maybe we get a 3C back in a different (not NYR) Miller trade. Maybe it's the RHD we need that we get. Either way, via that trade, a separate trade (Myers to DAL for Faksa+?) or a UFA like Paul/Tierney/Sturm, we'd be targeting a 3C.
  14. If we move Miller, we're almost guaranteed to be signing/trading for a 3C. And I don't think anyone has suggested we'd be a contender NEXT year. With or without Miller.
  15. Or Konecny and Jiricek... OhHHHH NOES! REBULDDZZSSSZSSZZ!
