  1. *Relegate. Also they'd be happy to step back to 2nd line duties and have stated as much. Third is just silly.
  2. What Happened Miss Simone? 8.5/10 Far more intimate, interesting and grittier than the above Howard/Beatles movie but I suppose that's helped by both the subject and the footage being less well known and some of it certainly far less happy of a tale. Very empathetic look at a sad, beautiful, immensely talented and as they frequently are, tortured, artist. Good watch.
  3. I doubt it. We'd still be a mediocre team with young D, injury issues and not enough, ready kids at forward to push the Sedins down the lineup/off PP1, Best coach in the world is not going to change those realities.
  4. Boeser next year should help. Moving Tanev for a forward this summer would too.
  5. The Beatles: 8 Days a Week - 7/10 Tough one to review. It's fun to watch the iconic musicians become iconic musicians and have a hoot doing it. The footage/audio has been remastered wonderfully and looks and sounds great. How do you rate that 'poorly'? Conversely, we've seen pretty much all of this already and in far more detail, in the wonderful Anthologies. It also has a very Howard-esque glossy-sheen to it that makes it easy to watch but not necessarily more interesting. So I enjoyed it but also found it redundant and a bit too 'lollipops and rainbows' in typical Howard fashion. Part of me want to rate it higher and part of me lower than 7
  6. Inherent Vice - 8/10 Interesting movie. Reminds me of the old 'squeeze sand too tightly and it will slip through your fingers' analogy. This isn't a movie or plot to be figured out. As soon as you try to start putting the pieces together or solve the mystery, the film's illusion will slip right through your fingers. This film is best enjoyed as though you're simply along for the ride. Enjoy the scenery, the characters, the acting, the situations, the atmosphere, and the dialogue. Don't overthink it and I think you'll have a good time, though it certainly won't be for everyone. Great casting and acting. I'd like to watch it again, as it took me a while to figure that ^^^ out.
  7. Yup. Different players, different teams, different developments. Also, while he's looked promising, it's s bit early to say he's gone all 'Matthews' in ANA.
  8. So you have a list of one, correct? Regardless, individual players develop at different rates. Different types of players do as well. I mean is anybody upset that Demko wasn't contributing at the NHL level at 18 because 'so many kids are contributing at the NHL level at 18'? Of course not, because people are aware goalies tend to take longer to develop. Just like most power forwards. I keep posting this... Anything he does in the NHL before he's about 23-24 is pure gravy. People shouldn't be expecting any significant contributions from him until then. That's 3+ years away folks. Patience.
  9. A quality to look for in a young lady, not a goalie.
  10. I'm still waiting to see this long list of 18 year old power forwards making major contributions in the NHL. I'll wait here...
  11. Interesting. Did we ever hear why Miller left the game?
  12. For sure, he looks like he's only, barely scratched the surface and early returns were already promising. IMO, there's a top pair D in there if he has the will to develop well.
  13. Yup, Tryamkin still has a lot of developing to do in the next few years but a future top pair of Juolevi and Tryamkin is a distinct possibility. He just needs to keep getting better (along with Olli).
  14. Some of us were predicting he'd take a few months to adjust to the pro game as he should. It's an adjustment for pretty much every player. He actually looks to have mostly figured it out even faster than that, which is a GREAT sign.

NTC don't need to be protected. Just NMC.

Pretty sure Eriksson has a NMC.

  18. Technically the start of the 2018 season is 'years'
  19. No, because you're posting like a petulant child. Back to Boeser talk everyone.
