  1. Nice childish response. He was off to a good start early in the year. I haven't been keeping close track since then. Sorry. And no, I wouldn't be surprised if he played hurt for a while until he either aggravated it while playing or it became to sore to continue.
  2. Power forwards usually start to make a jump in their play/development around 22-24. IMO he's got too many tools and has the right attitude to not be at the very least a solid middle 6 guy. Top 6 if he reaches his ceiling. People just shouldn't be surprised/disappointed not to see it for another 2-4 years. Patience. Unfortunately, that likely means a LOT more Nylander/Ehlers bitching for the next few years
  3. Glad to see him getting back in to the swing of things. Still a long road ahead back to the NHL.
  4. Those would be the minutes Edler normally soaks up there Phil

It's his first season. He's doing exactly what he should be. Patience.
  6. Also doesn't fit the narrative of how crap our rebuild is going because we won't 'tear it down'. We can't possibly have good prospects without a 'real' rebuild after all
  7. Normally I'd like him with Sbisa and that may very well happen too but Edler also being out could screw that up. Sbisa, Tanev Hutton, Gudbranson Tryamkin, Stetcher ...is a possibility as well.
  8. I wouldn't be surprised if he was for half that.
  9. I don't care enough to go check but I'm pretty sure he was scoring at a higher rate than last year before he was injured. Now that he's injured it shouldn't be surprising that both his team and his stat lines have suffered.

Meh, we're only roughly half way through the rebuild and we haven't even lost the Sedins yet (which may equate to some higher picks when we do). Seeing how much he transformed our D in the last couple years, I'm pretty excited to see what he does in the next couple years with our forward group. Added benefit being that those skilled forward guys tend to be able contribute for sooner after being drafted than D, goalies or PWF's like Virtanen. We add a couple more Horvat's or Boeser's at the draft in the next 2-3 years and have a couple of Lockwood, Gaudette, Zhukenov etc turn out on top of what we already have and we'll be just fine IMO.
  11. As you eluded to, it's only a problem if/when everyone's healthy...
  12. Is it? I don't see it that way.

Depending on how Brisebois continues to develop, they might already have a near ready replacement for Tanev.

Rodin comes in and shows well and we move him (or Baer, or Granlund) + say Tanev for a nice top 6 prospect
  15. You didn't. I did. That's kind of the point. Ignoring context to confirm your own biases doesn't lend itself to a good discussion or learning anything. How many 18 year old goalies do you see in the NHL?
  16. Sorry, how many of those guys are PWF's....?
  17. Also increase chance of breakage I'd imagine too.

Sedin, Sedin, Sutter Eriksson, Horvat, Hansen Baer, Granlund, Rodin Burr, Gaunce, Dorsett
  19. Brisebois looks like he'll be NHL bound.
  20. Please show us this long list of 18-20 year old power forwards that weren't taken top 3, making huge impacts on their teams.
  21. Where were they drafted? If Olson plays any NHL games at all, you call that a win.

Manny certainly doesn't hurt but Sutter playing and Hank healthy make a FAR bigger difference.
  23. Could even be Tryamkin as well if he progresses well.
