They all have #1D ceiling IMO, their likelihoods of reaching them and their respective basements if they don't are what set them apart and likely why Benning picked OJ. He's more likely to reach his ceiling and if he doesn't has a likely higher basement.
He was the closest to a 'sure thing'.
I wouldn't exactly say that.
Sergachev IMO has the highest ceiling of all three. The likelihood of reaching it however is less so and he also has a lower 'basement' if he doesn't develop well.
Chych is similar in that he could arguably be a more complete and better D than Juolevi if he can put it all together. Personally I think that's less likely and he ends up being a stellar #3 or decent #2. His basement is likely higher than Sergachev's though as well.
Juolevi has a #1D ceiling IMO with a fairly high likelihood of reaching it. He's projects pretty easily IMO as a #2 almost 'for sure' and I'd have trouble envisioning him as anything less than a really good #3 D as his basement short of completely falling off the rails. If his development goes well, could be a solid #1.
I get everyone's disappointed in his apparent lack of progress (or understanding) but he's a 20 year old pro athlete.
The kid is still super green and unfortunately, not all 20 year olds are Bo Horvat-mature. Give him a few years.
I'm on record clearly preferring Okposo and that I didn't think he'd fit well with the twins 5v5 but still, this ^^^ is a bit premature @Warhippy.
He's a slow starter, and on a new (and struggling) team. I doubt he's going to score at this level for 6 full years...
Right...?
Those things are indeed like crack. Thank Gordie I'm not supposed to eat cow cheese based items or I'd eat those every day and be 300 lbs.
But yeah Hutton is right head buried ostrich with blinders on guy.
My comment was based on current personnel. But yes, we could still use Mr. Future 1C.
Still, Eriksson, Granlund, Boeser would be a half decent line next year.
