  1. Larsen is competing with Stetcher, not Pedan.
  2. He's just fine as a 7th/8th D. The only down side being that he could probably use more minutes.
  3. We already have too many forwards too
  4. Yup them and energy drinks. They're largely chemical laden garbage. OK in moderation I suppose (though there's clearly healthier alternatives) but if you're having a couple sports drinks and energy drinks a day...
  5. Nephew ended up with it from too many sports/energy drinks. Had to stop cold turkey and majorly adjust his diet until he got back on track. Yeah, they're not good for you.
  6. Big Hero 6 - 7.5/10 Watched this with the kids the other day and was surprised it was a LOT better than I thought it would be. Gorgeous animation, funny, decent story (if not quite up there with the best of Disney/Pixar). There is some mature subject matter (death) that might be troublesome/require some explaining for younger kids though, so be warned about that.
  7. And possible hormone imbalance. Good luck with that!
  8. A couple years of development and the kid's going to be good.
  9. In still a bit in awe of how much Benning has transformed our D in a couple short years.
  10. It was a bit tongue in cheek that we'd still be playing after that
  11. Yeah, I was quite impressed. Honestly if we didn't have such a full stable he could probably start on the team with partial time in a #6/7 role at least for his 9 games. He'd require some adjustment time before he'd likely get that #6 spot permanently but he really didn't look that far off. A lesser team would probably do just that. A couple years developing and he'll likely come in and be a force.
  12. That's not entirely true Sid, he could very well suit up for the Canucks in the 16/17 playoffs too
  13. Be leaving and risking a lot of money. Not a wise choice for a pro athlete whose career can end at any given moment.
  14. Hopefully Rodin's in the process of being 'found money' in that regard.
  15. You sound conflicted about your emotions LB. Hug?
  16. No I don't and no you don't, who are you trying to kid?!
  17. Also trying to keep my excitement in check but hot damn, if Stetcher can keep this up, we're either losing Larsen or trading Sbisa IMO. Kids hasn't let up on looking like the real deal yet, here's hoping he forces some hard decisions. That and I'd wager Boeser could be on the 1st line a couple years from now. We really only need a 1C until guys start retiring... Eriksson, 1C, Boeser Baer, Horvat, Virtanen Sedin, Sedin, Sutter 4th could be made up of any mix of Gaunce, Granlund, Etem, Zalewski, Labate, Cassels etc, etc...

We're starting to run in to the very good problem of having too many players for the available spots. And even guys like Gaunce, Zalewski etc have good showings by the likes of Labate and Carconne breathing down their necks. Depth is a lovely thing
  19. Unlike you, Subban is not a fragile flower. Subban knows what he has to do and has Green there to help him.
  20. Yeah my takeaway was that he looked like a REALLY good 18 year old Made some beautiful plays/passes, rarely out of positions, smooth and smart. But he looked like he was (understandably) still adjusting to the speed and looked a little physically over matched in the rare instances he allowed himself to get hemmed in by not moving the puck as quick as he needed. We should all be VERY encouraged but yeah, probably 2+ years away. And that's ok.
  21. Granlund didn't have an overly flashy game but he was in the right spots and doing good things all over the ice damn near every shift.

Gaunce doesn't strike me as a fragile flower.
