  1. AKA 'has his own gravitational field'
  2. A LOT of JR players have an intensity/pace/pressure issue. It's one of the main things most kids have to learn to transition to pro. Very few kids have it from the start (and they're generally are picked early or are those 'diamond in the rough' kids). IMO, so long as Brisebois continues to improve and can learn to up that intensity, he's got the makings of a Tanev 2.0-esque player.
  3. Eventual Biega replacement...?

I could also see it if Rodin gets sent down on a conditioning stint.
  5. Fair enough, I agree Greene seemed to do a great job of giving that hodge podge at least something resembling moderate cohesiveness. That said, the tourney is barely above beer league in a lot of ways. Players aren't always where they 'should' be and even if they are, don't necessarily go/do where they're supposed right after. It's great for guys who like to go end to end and play selfish but it's FAR from structured NHL play. The opposition is just as all over the map. It simply doesn't flatter cerebral players.
  6. *Zero structure pond hockey. A guy whose game is 90% cerebral is never going to look great. It's the dynamic guys who excel at these things. Reserve judgement until you see him in more structured preseason with real hockey players who know where they're supposed to be. And even then, he's 18 damn years old.
  7. Most likely. Still ~1-2 years from now could see us with a STACKED core of D for one last run with the twins as well. Still gives them time to move him in his last year as well. Hutton, Gudbranson, Tryamkin, Tanev Edler, Stetcher Juolevi, Pedan, Brisebois, etc, etc I could see Benning being game for that.
  8. If we did move Edler, I don't think that would even be necessary for Try. Hutton, Gudbranson Sbisa, Tanev Tryamkin, Larsen Pedan, Biega That said, I don't see us moving Edler unless we're out of the playoff picture at the TDL AND Larsen has fit right in in his 6th D/PP specialist role AND Tryamkin looks like a solid #4/5 regular with promise to be more. That's a lot of ifs...

I don't agree either. He's NHL ready now and FAR from a bust. Him not making the team this year has far more to do with his waiver eligibility and that we have a LOT of bottom 6 forward depth. Burrows will be gone next year (or possibly at the TDL) which opens a spot for him IMO. Otherwise he basically has to beat out Virtanen. It's one or the other for that spot vs first call up in Utica. Neither is well served sitting in the press box as 13th forward.
  10. This is exactly what some of us have been trying to explain to detractors of the Gudbranson trade!
  11. Wore a nice cardigan today in your honor when I walked my boys over to the grocery store
  12. Kobain, also a fan of teh cardiganzzzzz
  13. Have you tried contacting Frye? From what I recall reading, they have a damn good warranty/repair policy for re soling etc. Haven't had to contact them for any of my shoes yet though, so no personal experience. As for the slippery aspect. I have noticed that on like wet tile/concrete/linoleum but that's about it (understandable). Outside I haven't had any problems other than on ice. And well, it's ice. @riffraff, do any of those pictures I posted of cardigans look like Mr Rogers? Continuing to beat that close minded drum eh...?
  14. You'd want to pull it off. Burlap's pretty scratchy
  15. i'm Sorry. The answer we were looking for was suspenders. Suspenders....
  16. That's ok, you just have to be a real man to pull it off
