    Brendan Gaunce | C/LW

Middle 6 forward. Still had to learn to use his larger frame more effectively IMO (though he has improved in that regard). Smart player though which is good.
  2. For the most part, other than the occasional bright spot, 1040 is pretty horrible. It's like listening to the ignorant, ill informed guy at a party talk about sports. Be nice to have some knowledgeable and less tabloid style media in town... Personally, I'd prefer Eriksson on the 2nd line 5v5 for the most part.
  3. They'd need to 'pay' us to take Hartnell's contract fwiw. Last I checked getting paid for getting something is even better than getting it for free. The NMC does not necessarily get carried forward to the new team.
  4. Where Hank sets up on the half boards, it's better to have a right handed shot at the net, otherwise the shooter is on their back hand. Burrows (and others) have worked there regardless and I'm sure Eriksson would too. Doesn't mean a righty wouldn't be better. Besides, my main concern is that Eriksson there makes us a one line team again/still.
  5. I personally think he'd fit better on the 2nd line 5v5. Handedness being another good reason.
  6. After adding Eriksson, I'd be a-ok if Benning's other major move was nabbing Hartnell + a good prospect for peanuts. Might have to get him to waive the NMC in coming here now that we have to also protect Eriksson though. As for lineups... I still personally prefer Eriksson on line 2 for anything but the PP as I feel it leaves us still a very one line team (and hence easily shut down) if he's with the twins but the coaches will figure that out. Sedin, Sedin, Hansen/Eriksson Baer, Sutter, Eriksson/Hansen Etem/Burrows, Horvat, Dorsett/Virtanen Burrows/Etem, Granlund, Virtanen/Dorsett Zalewski
  7. I want to trick my sister in to watching Lobster just to see her reaction as I know she'd be thoroughly confused almost to the point of anger Haven't watched the other two yet but looking forward to them.
  8. 1-2 years longer than I would have preferred but that's probably the difference between signing him or not so... Welcome to Van Loui!
  9. Apple was always garbage for the simple.
  10. Probably a tight race between him and Juolevi for our top prospect.
  11. Being on the first pair 'positionally' on a team does not mean you are a 1 or 2 D. It means you play first pair on your team. Crap team or otherwise. Nobody else here is speaking 'positionally', we're speaking in regards to evaluation of player skill level. WHy are YOU complicating it?
  12. Being on a crappy team does not magically make you a better player. Sorry.
  13. So according to your logic, Morgan Reilly is a #1D....?
  14. I was more referring to the #1D's being traded conversation but... Weber does more than points though. Subban doesn't so much. Yes Weber's older but he's also a lower cap hit and a better overall D. It's no slam dunk for either team. Both gained and lost in different areas.
  15. By who's definition? Not mine. I love Edler, but he's a great #2D who happens to get the most minutes on our team due to a lack of better options, Not because he's a #1D. Anywhoo... Subban and Weber just got moved for each other but I'd say they cancel each other out
  16. Neither of those picks were off my board
  17. Basically nothing is a bit harsh. 'Door' and 'Bastards' were top notch episodes. Some of the best of the entire series IMO. I generally quite enjoy the 'place setting' episodes anyway but will agree that it was a touch odd to have a fairly sizable portion of place setting through the rest of the season and then cram ALL of that in to episode 10. Last episode was immensely enjoyable but it did feel a it rushed/not fleshed out.
  18. Yeah I'd still be pretty surprised to see him on the Canucks this year. But who knows, they could send him to Utica, he gets a call up part way through the year and never looks back. He's certainly got the skill/brains to do it. It will all depend on how fat he adapts to the game speed.
  19. Yeah I'd imagine one more year in London then one in Utica realistically. Future D in ~5 years... Juolevi, Gudbranson Hutton, Tryamkin Pedan, Tanev Brisebois, Stetcher *drool*
  20. I've been calling Juolevi for months if the forward Benning wanted (PLD) was gone, so I'm stoked. He's going to be GOOD. (Also feeling a bit vindicated with all the people arguing with me.)
