  1. The proliferation of oceanic 'dead zones' is disturbing...
  2. Biega will likely be there this year.
  3. Same. We can still get good value moving Markstrom in ~4-6 years. There's no need to rush moving him.
  4. Yeah, there's a lot of possibilities, one of the many reasons I didn't find this episode 'boring'.
  5. Goodness people, not every episode can hold the door for a white walker battle or something. Perfectly fine episode. Loved the Tarly bit and love that Arya finally said @#$%-it to faceless nonsense and started kicking ass again. Welcome back Needle. I await the battle Could have done without another dragon/monologue-ing bit though. We get it. She's the kick ass mother of dragons, yadda, yadda...
  6. Trying to work out a way around that
  7. I confess I have a serious crush on Missendai
  8. I'd go as far as saying that this film did not likely deserve the performances it got from it's leads.
  9. Theory of Everything 7.5/10 This one's a bit tough of a review as there's some very good and some not so good about this film IMO. Makes it hard to put a number on it. Let's get the bad out of the way... It's a bit of a superficial look at a brilliant person and a rather conventional film. It's certainly appealing more to 'everyone' than trying to make any sort of statement or challenge viewers which is an opportunity missed IMO given the subject. That said, both leads performances are PHENOMENAL IMO. This film hits you right in the feels so many times, over and over and over again. The amount Redmayne is able to convey with just his eyes as his characters body fails him is fantastic to watch. And I lost track of how many times I wanted to just give Jones a hug for her characters struggles. Heart aching to watch her constantly defy what would be beyond most people's limits. They were a joy too watch and made me cuddle up to my wife even closer while we were watching. Truly believable 'love' between two performers and it was a joy to watch. Makes the otherwise fairly 'by the numbers' film a worthwhile watch just to see them IMO.
  10. Intensity maybe. It had more if a 'place setting' feel overall I suppose than some of the other seasons.

    Anton Rodin | RW/LW

No way Eriksson plays 5v5 with the twins. Vrbata 2.0 situation. Works great on international ice with more time and space but in smaller, faster and more physical NHL games they need a Burrows/Hansen type. Okposo's the fit but whether we can get him or not is another question. If we were to sign Eriksson, he's be on line 2 IMO. Also doubt Rodin's line 2 and yeah, I think 50 points is unrealistic. Anything over 30 and we should be thankful. And one last thing, it's unlikely Dubois is even in the NHL next year let alone 2nd line over Baer. Sorry for crapping on your post
  12. Doubtful. We have even less space at forward FYI.
  13. Yeah, they'd be the 7/8.
  14. Maybe in a couple years, but not next year IMO (injuries excepted). That's two pairs with too similar of players on them IMO. The first is is bigger but lacks a puck moving/cerebral guy the second is smaller, not remotely physical and is two cerebral guys. It's a bad mix IMO.
  15. Wasting him how? He's a great 2B/3 D I think they'd be an excellent shutdown pair (both have good skating, Tanev brings the brains, Sbisa, the physicality) and open the Edler pair up for more offensive/secondary shutdown minutes. Also keeps the young guys on the third pair with less pressure with occasional top 4 time with injuries. On a short, say 4 year term, why not Goligoski? And no, if we don't sign any not-Hamhuis, I'd say it's: Edler, Tanev Hamhuis, Sbisa Hutton, Tryamkin Pedan, Larsen That's ok...but it's not particularly great (just like it wasn't last year) and does little to move the D core forward (or interest fans). Subban, Stetcher and Brisebois (and Biega IMO) will be in Utica barring one of them absolutely annihilating the competition.
  16. I'd prefer to keep Hutton/Try as our 3rd pair for next year. I also don't like Hutton/Tanev together. They're too small and Hutton deserves a guy with a better shot to pass to. Further on I could see Try pairing well with either Hutton or Tanev as a 2nd pair though. Edler needs a more dynamic partner, not to be Try's dynamic partner IMO. It's not his game and it's why people keep crapping on him for not being a #1 or an offensive D (neither of which he's ever been). I'd be thrilled if we could sign either of Demers/Goligoski this summer and move Tanev to 2nd pair. This year: Edler, Demers/Goligoski Sbisa, Tanev Hutton, Tryamkin Pedan, Larsen
  17. Problem with his 'howitzers' is that they take about a week to get off
  18. Sure, it's too early to state anything as a matter of fact. But I'm with Elvis, if I'm gazing in to my crystal ball, I see anything from a #2-#4 D ceiling depending on how he develops/adjusts. I'll be more than happy to be wrong and have him emerge as a #1 though! I just see it as not especially likely and there's nothing AT ALL wrong with him being a quality #2-#4 D. That's found money.
  19. Same reason I was for having Virtanen on the Canucks last year over an otherwise roughly on par (albeit different skill set/strengths/weaknesses) Gaunce. And even then we had trouble with depth with all our injuries. It would have been even worse if we'd sent Virtanen back to Jr.
  20. I'd probably just burn down the house after
