  1. WTF is.... ...NVM, I doubt I want to know.

Burrows was a pretty stable line mate for multiple seasons so not sure where you're getting that...? As for Kesler....we never had a true 2nd line set of W's to play with him. So you play guys there until you find something that works, until it stops. Hardly a mystery.

Well this past year that was due to a combination of a LOT of injuries and a LOT of youth. Those two combined tend to lead to a LOT of line instability.

Totally agree, Hansen/Okposo would be interchangeable on the top two lines and either combo would look quite good IMO.

Eriksson would spend very little 5v5 time with the twins. Vrbata 2.0 problem. They're a great line on international ice with the extra time, space and less physicality. On NHL ice, the twins function far better with a puck retrieving, 2 way, board/corner battling, net presence triplet (a Burrows, Hansen etc). If we did sign Eriksson, he'd almost certainly be on our 2nd line. Sedin, Sedin, Hansen Baer, Sutter, Eriksson/other UFA Rodin, Horvat, Virtanen/Burrows (one of which in Utica) Etem, Granlund, Dorsett Only UFA I see displacing Hansen would be Okposo.

No GM who wants to keep their job is going to give a large, multi year deal to a 'what if'.... You've got to prove yourself, IN the NHL to get a big contract.
  9. It's actually supposed to help with that according to the many positive reviews. People report feeling far less groggy in the winter when being awoken more 'naturally' by tricking the body in to thinking it's enjoying a sunrise. Light (natural and artificial) can have an immense effect on our bodies/brains. Great documentary on it if you're interested: http://www.cbc.ca/natureofthings/episodes/lights-out http://www.cbc.ca/player/play/2313158777
  10. I confess I just spent way too much $$$ on an alarm clock....
  11. So I'm a friendly bee with an ominous warning...?
  12. That's a toughy... on one hand, you need to do what's best for you. On the other hand, if she really is 'the one' she's likely 'what's best for you', wherever you two live. After all, It's just a place. The people around you are what's most important. People make the place you live a home. My suggestion is to have a calm, rational discussion with her about it. Nothing adversarial, just let her know how you feel and that you are a bit scared of settling down somewhere you hadn't previously expected. Be honest and open.
  13. He's a 19 year old pro athlete playing in his home town no less, with all the money and fame that includes. If your expecting the kid to be an absolute angel 100% of the time, you're dreaming. Most of them turn out alright soon enough...but they're still going to be kids (with a bunch of money and fame). We got LUCKY with Horvat, he's not the norm.
  14. Hasn't scored in weeks. Clearly bust.
  15. I'm actually REALLY looking forward to watching that

  17. Awe Monty... Only part I really didn't like was: I understand why they did it for the purpose of her character...but JEBUS Otherwise I was giggling throughout at the absurdity and awkwardness of it all. It was like a Wes Anderson movie on steroids
  18. Who says they didn't? Who's going to trade anything for a borderline NHL guy you can get on waivers in two days...?
  19. I'll agree that we shouldn't and almost certainly won't waive Pedan but the day Benning and co remotely care about a bunch of whiny, panicky fans squeeling over the 'loss' of a borderline, easily replaceable NHL'er...
  20. Wife and I watched 'Lobster' this weekend. What a gloriously F'd up side show! I can't stop thinking about it 2 days later...yet I'm still not entirely sure what I watched! Sad, funny, strange and prone to make you giggle throughout but DEFINITELY not for everyone. I actually joked to my wife while we were watching that I should recommend it to my sister (whom I'm positive would HATE it) just to see/hear what her reaction would be 8.5/10
  21. He's a great depth guy and good leader for our youth, no doubt. Still see him sent down while other teams are still finalizing their rosters, just like he did with Markstrom.
  22. Small, borderline ahl/nhl, 27 year old D on one way contracts don't tend to get claimed.
