  1. Sedin, Sedin, Burrows/Jensen ???/Burrows, Kesler, Kassian Higgins, Horvat, Santorelli Kenins, Matthias, Richardson
  2. And all I'm saying is that he makes sense at 1-2 years at ~$1.5+/- per. More than that and I feel we can fill that spot with another guy at $500k-$1m and better use those additional funds towards a trade acquisition or UFA. If someone else wants to overpay him, that's their prerogative. He had a good thing here in his hometown, with decent line mates and chemistry. It might behoove him to continue to take advantage of that at the risk of a few hundred K, it might not.
  3. We're better off spending $2m+ elsewhere IMO. If someone else wants to overpay for a good, versatile but let's face it, "tweener" who is not remotely a sure thing, that's their prerogative. Me, I'd rather use that money to overpay on an actual legit top 6 forward or top 4 D if we're going down that road. He's a good, middle 6, bargain forward that's earned a contract. If he's not a bargain though, he loses his allure.
  4. You guys are young...no hurry IMO. What are you 21 or something? You've got like 5 years before you should even think about marriage.
  5. Not everybody dates for like 12 years like you
  6. I've got fraternal twin boys and even at just 18 months there's a noticeable height and 3lb weight difference.
  7. You'd think our sports media would be....
  8. I'm telling you it's a fallen top 5 or Virtanen (Fleury outside shot depending on what they see in him). Wouldn't be at all surprised to see us make a move to go up or down either possibly including that Kesler trade and/or moving Tanev.
  9. WAT? Not a day goes by someone on CDC isn't complaining about how he let Ehrhoff, Salo, Torres, Lappierre, Schneider etc, etc "go". You guys really need to pin down what exactly it is you hated about MG because right now it's a constant stream of contradicting inaccuracies. Seriously have a group meeting or something and get your silly agenda straight. Better yet, have a group support meeting about recognizing that big, bad MG is in fact gone and he can't hurt you anymore. Move on people.
  10. There's quite simply far better options. If I want something cheap and refreshing, I'll drink water. If I want beer, I'll buy something that actually tastes good.
  11. Pretty sure that line was Booth, Richardson, Kassian. Not Matthias. That said, I like him, hope we retain him. The more I hear of new managements "direction", the more I think we're drafting Virtanen (unless MDC, Draisaitl etc fall to us).
  12. Same. IMO we won both Lu trades coming and going
  13. I believe these are proposals made here on CDC not actual offers from teams. I seem to recall that Pouliot wasn't on the table, the Pens offer was Sutter and their 1st (24th overall) which is a grabage offer IMO. I also don't believe the Ducks offered up Etem.
  14. There is literally no evidence to support that and mountains of evidence to support the opposite (that goalies pretty much never get huge returns in trade). So no, you are quite plainly and simply wrong. And if Florida had current ownership two years ago, maybe that's possible. Unfortunately Florida ownership wasn't exactly in Gillis' hands.
  15. Sometimes I wonder where you come up with this stuff...
  16. Definitely a good way. (I wasn't aware there was a bad way! )
  17. After listening to Benning, that sounds to me like the quality he looks for in players all else being relatively equal/close. Forget size. It's not the size of the dog in the fight...
  18. Any thoughts on which player(s) rated in the say 5-15 spots has the most "junkyard dog" element in his game?
  19. In fairness, Weber would certainly replace at least some of Kesler's points/goals. Between that and whomever was filling the 2C spot it's probably largely a wash.
