Did Liljegrin really fall out of the 1st round? I doubt it, but that would be a great pick with our early 2nd! Just North American list here. Oops! -

It's hard being a Canucks fan. Couple whacks is the head with a hammer might help me fit in. -

You're crazy man. Why expose somebody with good value? The goal isn't to give away good players for free to create a great Vegas team. -

Why would it cost a young 20 goal guy, a 2nd, and something else for a mid round pick? Would you actually make that trade? -

Like I said, if we are out of top 3, I'd go Liljegrin, but no I wouldn't pass on the top 2. I really like what the top 2 bring, but for me and what I want to watch, I'd like to see up pick up Hirshier. The kid is damn exciting. Its not like we are we are going to win the lotto anyway tho. We should be thinking about pick 5 -

I'm really glad I don't have to make this pick. There are so many choices, who knows what is the right one! Either way, JB is gonna hear it from half the fan base. If we are out out of the top 3, I think I'd go with Liljegrin. The potential that kid has is incredible. But im hoping for Nico -
It smells like cat food.

I haven't really put much thought into what my expectations would be for him. Thats kinda the way I like to play it with rookies. Keeps disappointment down. Also stops me from being one of the 'sky is falling' people when he doesn't meet those made up expectations. With that said, I do have high hopes for Brock. He seems like a very solid prospect. He likes to score goals and knows how to do it. He also seems very mature for his age, and coming out of college being a smart kid is going to help a lot too. Ill say, I wouldn't be surprised if he scored 15-20 goals in his rookie season. But I wouldn't be disappointed if he scored 10. His defensive game is already pretty solid, and he seems to be keeping up pretty well with the other players, especially at this time a year when the other teams are getting ready for playoff mode. That makes me think he won't have to spend a lot of time on the bottom lines 'learning the game'. Like I said, the kid can score. Im excited to watch him.

Now way man. 4 goals in 7 games. That is his new standard. I expect nothing less than 50 goals next year. If he doesn't get that, big time bust.
-
I'm super jealous dude. His is incredible. Easily one of the best in town.
-
My realism guy is usually Richard Vega at The Fall Tattoo in Vancouver. Only does black and grey tho. There is another dude who's work I am in love with. Nestor Acevedo. His work is like a blend of super realism and dreams. It is incredible.

Exactly. why is he doing us favours already?

Sbisa and a 3rd for Lazar. Not a chance in hell I'd take that deal. Lazar is as over rated as it get. Sbisa is one of our best all year. Dmen have higher value. -
This is very well said. Injuries are always sketchy, but teams can get all the info needed to make a good, educated decision. IMO, from what I have read about his injury history, it doesn't really seem to be much to worry about. The kid is a real talent. He has been putting up wicked points his whole JR career, while dealing with all these injuries. He plays a strong two way game, which fits nicely with the team JB is building. If available, I take Patrick hands down.

Why do you question his Offence? He isnt McJesus, but he would be our top scorer in a couple years easy. -
The kid looks solid. One thing I noticed is he really likes to score. Whether it is a goal or an assist, he does a big celebration. It is really fun to watch. He seems like a pretty exciting player who scores some gnarly goals. Overall, good trade I think.

That is how you should develop players. Keep them in a lower level until they show they are ready for the next step up. No spot should ever be gifted. It creates laziness and un earned privilege(see Virtanen). It can ruin development of a player. Having said that, I have a feeling Brock will come in ready to play and make the team out of camp next year.
-
I also think a year in the AHL would be great for Brock. But with the meathead fans we have here who can't seem to show any patients with our prospects, I hope he comes straight to the NHL. Pretty much just to avoid hearing a year of 'Boesser is a bust'. If Subban can't get a couple years in the AHL as a very late round pick, without having the combined CDC dumdums crying for his call up, what shot does Brock have at a proper development?

All 3 of those goals were beauties. Pretty impressive! -
JB doesn't have an incredibly boring system. Willy does. JB goes for who he thinks will turn out the best. Whenyou say you pick pick the best available, do you pick the best currently at that age, or who you truly believe will be the best player in the long run? Maybe Keith JR was the most NHL ready, but that doesn't mean he will be the better player overall
-
Sorry, but that is awful advice. Yes, you can be self taught, but nowadays when there is so much information out there, why wouldn't you use it. 'Typical tips and tricks on form' are around to prevent injury and to improve movement, consistency, comfort and easiness to play. A couple lessons in the beginning makes a huge difference in your playing quality and speed of your learning. You show me a self taught bass player at 1 year of experience, and I'll show you 20 people who took lessons and are better at 6 months. Obviously the love for the sound and and instrument is already there, or why would you spend money on getting set up? i am a completely self taught musician, and I still believe beginner lessons is a good idea.

I grew up walking to school through a path with snow walls as tall or taller than me. THAT is winter. This trash is just annoying

Nope they didn't. It was never a rumour. I've read nothing but garbage from you since I started noticing you on here. You have now joined Alf in the elite ranks of posters who I have blocked. Bye!
