[Rumour] John Klingberg requests trade
D.B Cooper replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
Is this true? (Not about Barrie. He sucks) Is Broburg actually looking like a bust? He looked like a good prospect and has good AHL numbers. Is he busting or is Edmonton impatient? This is a genuine question. I liked him in his draft year, but started ignoring his progress as he is an oiler. Lol -
[Rumour] Canucks trying to trade Halak

I don’t think they will be in any kind of situation to be affording Miller next year, and especially not his new contract. -
[Rumour] Canucks trying to trade Halak

Rags are VERY high on Schneider. There is almost zero chance they make this deal -
I gotta find out. They are human obviously. Dammit. I’m going in. edit: They claim to have NO plastic surgery. Hahahah There was a picture of them younger. They still looked like horrifying goblins, but not quiet as wild as now. (Not now as in dead and goblin looking)

[Report] Canucks name Jim Rutherford as president & interim GM
D.B Cooper replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Canucks Talk
How silly. 3 Russians 2 Swedes 2 Fins 1 Canadian 1 American 1German. 9-10 are from top hockey countries. Those are all quality prospects. We have 1 in Russia, and we all know he is a long shot. I dunno. I think they are doing pretty good over there in Carolina. -
Your screen gets too foggy when out in the winter Alf. The kids can’t see their Tik Toks on a frosty screen.

Just CCP doing CCP things. Pay no attention to those monsters (their gov, not their citizens)
-
Hopefully you live a long life as well.

Everyone’s gotta have a little give here and there. He is doing better than most people I know
-
I put money on that guy outliving most people his age. Lives in the gym and takes it very seriously. Eats natural based foods. And just think of the people he has access too that he can get health advice and treatments from. He is gonna be 90 and jacked. Lol
-
Of course not. The most important thing about his show, that most people seem to forget is……. It’s all for entertainment. Most of his guests are comedians. He has people from every possible side, and does a great job interviewing them. A lot of people also seem to ignore the fact the guy is smoking weed and drinking whiskey through most shows. What kind of a dummy takes any of what he says seriously? A stoned, insanely rich, world known stand up comedian. The freaking fear factor guy. That’s who we are taking seriously? Dr. Phil is more dangerous than Joe LOL I don’t understand some people these days. Haha
-
As far as I know, he has not, but already got it. Also is very healthy, and rich af. He has access to healthcare not many others do.

This has turned hilarious. A bunch of people who have never actually listened to Joe’s show, but have opinions based on hand picked clips. All I can say is hahahahahahah. Joe has people from all sides on his show. He asks great questions and doesn’t try to guide them into any narrative. His ‘anti vax’ thing was noodled out by a bunch of left wing extremists who try to make anything other than their beliefs ’the devil’. Joe isn’t anti-vax. In fact, almost every episode he tells people they should get it if they feel they need it. He said he doesn’t think people who are very healthy and take proper care of themselves ‘need’ it to survive. And he is right. Look at the NHL for example. TONS of players have gotten it. Sutter is one of the only ones who still have real effects. He hasn’t said don’t get it. He hasn’t said they aren’t working. People don’t have to like him. Sure he is ‘macho’. When did that become a bad thing? He promotes healthy living. He is also extremely compassionate and everyone that knows him says he is super sweet and caring. He isn’t a fan of the wishy washy government over controlling every aspect of our lives, and considering what a $&!# job they have been doing for…….. I dunno. My 35 years on this planet at least, I agree with him. He wants people to be able to live their lives. He doesn’t want everyone living in fear. Seems reasonable.

Hahaha. Deb, our recent conversation about Petey went pretty similar to this one. Hahahah Im done with the cutting these two slack. With Petey, I don’t cut him anymore slack, but that has no consequences on mine or other lives. This one, I have no more patients or slack to give them because IMO, the last two years they haven’t showed they have been learning from their mistakes. Studies coming out have been showing that while super contagious, the new strain is fairly minor. Hospitalizations have stayed pretty well the same, even though the numbers are going through the roof. That’s great news! But still they panic and start shutting things down with no regard to the other damage they are creating. The previous lockdowns didn’t stop covid, and new ones won’t either. Keep pushing the vaccine and masks. At this point, it’s all they can do other than improving our healthcare system.
-
That is because the overwhelming majority of people are vaccinated. Lol.
-
It’s actually a good point there if you care to join an adult conversation Alf. Lol. Their obesity rate is higher. More people unwilling to take the vaccine. That obviously plays a part
-
I also think on top of vaccines, we need to start hearing more about treatments. There has been next to nothing coming out on what can treat it when you get it, other than the controversial ones. Not everyone is going to take a vaccine, but everyone will want a ‘cure’ when they get it.

Are you saying you don’t think we should be trying our hardest to upgrade hospitals and train as many people as we can? That’s all I’m saying. Im not saying I’m right, but IMO we were poorly prepared and haven’t done enough to correct that for continuing to happen, and happen again down the road. I think that needs to be a major focus.
-
What have the random shutdowns actually accomplished? Nothing. Covid has proven to go up and down. We have seen it numerous times in the last couple years. Yes construction takes time. The panic button has been pressed. Things can get done. I haven’t heard of anything like this even being planned. How would hospital upgrades not be a priority? How 2 years later we are doing the same thing with nothing changing. Becoming a nurse is a 4 year program. Have they been doing huge amounts of marketing for the nursing programs? Is there a huge uptick in people taking the program than usual? Have we massively increased the amount of available programs? (I’ve looked into it. The answer is no). We could have a ton of people half way through school. Instead they fired unvaxed nurses, which I will say I see their point, but only if they didn’t just start talking about sending infected nurses to work anyway. Lol. Like I said before, I’m following along and doing my part, but this wishy washy BS and mismanagement over the last two years has me filled with serious doubt in the Bonny Horgan Duo
-
Two years is more than enough time to upgrade a hospital or even begin construction of one. Staffing would be difficult, but two years is a lot of time to up their wages to attract more people to come here, as well as not fire all those unvaxed nurses. Which looks pretty stupid now considering they are think about letting covid positive nurses go to work. Lol. Why would people have had to close their businesses if there were no lockdowns or restrictions? Lockdowns haven’t gotten us anywhere obviously. It comes it waves regardless. No restrictions means people get to continue running their business, which means no closures. I think pushing the vaccine and masks are all we can actually do. Covid is going to it’s thing and eventually it will become too weak to care about.
-
I’m not saying have people standing at your door keeping you in. People should be able to make their own decisions when it comes to their own personal health. You know the risks, have taken what you feel are adequate steps to protect yourself, and make the decision to do your own thing. Perfect. That’s rad. Continue your life! Some people, like my mom who has lung issues, don’t feel comfortable leaving the house to go do anything other than required shopping and what not. They should be supported. We can’t keep ruining so many lives for this thing. Covid will do it’s damage, but we shouldn’t be adding to it. No more closing businesses or restricting numbers or garbage like that. So many families, jobs, houses, businesses have been lost or ruined and it has been proven a couple times over now, it’s been for nothing. Covid has its ups and downs regardless of how many people went to a Canucks game or went to see Propagandhi at the Rickshaw. If we spent time, money and efforts on building and upgrading hospitals and education in the last couple years and kept everyone working, we’d be in the exact same situation, but with better healthcare, and everyone’s livelihood would still be fine.

No. You are awful

Great post, and yeah, Fair enough. Im someone who starts with science, then brings in common sense, then form my opinion. I try to stay open minded and have changed my mind a million times, even if it makes me look like a donkey. When I see people like the un named poster, or my brother (who is a total freaking dumbass) going off on rants, I usually just call them potatoes and go on with my day. It seems so obvious to me that everyone should just giggle and ignore. Having said all that, I’m sure my opinions about all this wouldn’t be agreed with totally either. IMO, Bonny Henry is totally lost and has no idea what she is doing anymore. Im 100% for vaccines and vax passports. I’m not down with any more/new restrictions for those who have taken the steps asked of us. IMO there shouldnt be any restrictions to the vaccinated other than masks. We aren’t the ones filling the hospitals. We have done what was asked. We have enough protection to stay out of the hospital if or when we get covid. If you are major risk health wise, stay home and the gov should provide for those people. Anti vax can sit outside all the fun places feeling all discriminated against. Who cares. Vaxed can go back to regular life while being cautious. Ie, wear your mask, stay home if you are sick, etc…. The messages being fed from Henry and Horgan have been so wishy washy and biased, I just can’t take them seriously anymore. Before omicron, we had 18000 people in Rogers arena, but the Rickshaw Theatre could only have restricted capacity, seating only for shows. And they had full mask and vax requirements. 18000 people fine. 1000 people standing up, nope. Metal shop with 100 employees with no vax requirements who make equipment for mills in America. For some reason ‘essential’ and fine. Gyms with 20-30 people and vax requirements staying healthy. nope. All while they go up and down with the schools, causing development issues with children. And now seeing the case numbers go through the roof, but hospitalization pretty much stay the same. I just can’t listen anymore.
-
Yeah I get that, but this un named person, and most with the same message, come off as such dummies that even undeveloped children would see this and right away think ‘I think there is something wrong with the dude’.

What a thread. Why do you all keep talking this this obvious goof?
