  1. It’s the holidays! Don’t worry Alf….. I’m half buzzed already too!
  2. Yeah they do Nope it doesn’t. Who wouldn’t want those two on their d line for years to come? They are the only two shiny spots on that team and will be built around.
  3. I dunno. He has 49 points in only 29 games. Let’s see when the season is done. Just under 2 points per game is seems to be his new norm.
  4. That’s a pretty big what if. Also a pretty big reach considering the guy has put up 33 and 38 points over PPG the years before last, and is right back up there again this year.
  5. I dig the list! Id add Jagr, but that’s it. To me, being a generational player means you are by far the best player of your generation. No one else is even close. I don’t think it’s really something a player can grow into over a career. I think generational players, you see it right away. Gretzky, Mario, Crosby, McDavid, Ovechkin. You knew they were the best the second they stepped on the ice. Yeah, they got a lot better, but they were already the tops when they started. I hate to say it,(f the oilers) but McDavid last year. That was a generational player going off. 105 points in 56 games is stupid. The closest guy other than his teammate was 36 points away. There isn’t another player that should be considered generational right now, except maybe Draisaitl. We still haven’t had one. Bure was a top superstar, but not generational. He played the same time as Gretzky, unfortunately for him
  6. No one was like him, but he wasn’t close to being the hands down best player of his generation. He was a superstar.
  7. Bam Margera Ghislaine Maxwell Joe Biden/Donal Trump. Bill Cosby Dick Van Dyke Queen Elizabeth Kim Jong Un Harvey Weinstein Pope Benedict Bob Barker Teka$hi 6ix9ine Barbra Walter Bob Newhart Mel Brooks Estelle Harris (costanza) Bill Hayes Ozzy Osborn Amber Heard Yoko Ono Donald Sterling I mixed up the list this year. Bunch of old people, couple of younger people, few people who just deserve to die, and some I don’t think anyone would notice if they were gone. Lol
  8. Bure was very close. I LOVE Bure. He is one of my all time favourites. I had his posters all over my room in the 90s. However, like I said before, IMO Generational is the top 3 in a 20 year period (should be 30) I can pretty easily pick 3 players from his time period is have over Bure. Gretzky, Mario, Jagr. That alone takes him out IMO Not every superstar is generational, otherwise what does the word even mean?
  9. Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and to remove all doubt. I wish I lived by this more….
  10. I don’t see Hughes as being close to one of the best of this generation. Do you? And by best, I’m not talking top 50. Im talking top 3-5 Mario, yes. Messier……. Nahhh I think a generational player is the top 3 in a 20 year period. I think Gretzky and Lemieux are the two best players to ever play the game, so even though they are in the same generation, both generational players
  11. That’s a nice way of putting it.
  12. I don’t even know why that word has ever come up in Vancouver. To me, Generational is one of, if not the best of his generation. Gretzky, Crosby/Ovechkin, McDavid. (Even then, i am only going by decade) The closest we’ve ever had was Bure, and even then, he had a lot of players putting up much better numbers than him. We don’t have a single player even close to being generational. Not Petey, not Hughes. That word shouldn’t be used when speaking about the Canucks.
  13. Take away a couple of my old warning points and you have a deal. Lock it up! Hahaha
  14. This thread is dumb. Boeser isn’t going anywhere. You don’t trade young snipers who are part of the core and have grown up together. They already proved losing solid teammate (Marky, Tanev) can hurt a young growing core. Brock had a rough start. Big whoop. He is almost back on 30 goal pace.
  15. That was negotiation fluff. If he wanted to be here, he wouldn’t have run away. He didn’t like it here. Big whoop. NHL isn’t for everyone. Lots of people prefer play in the KHL.
  16. That’s a Benning hater’s view. In reality, Tryamkin and his wife are more comfortable staying and playing in their hometown. They used the Canucks offer as a negotiation tactic to get more in his KHL contract. He had no intention of coming to Van. It happens all the time between leagues.
  17. You know you are a Canucks fan when a player not getting injured is a big deal. Lol
  18. I know he is still playing, and doing fine in a lesser league. I also don’t care. He was ok here. I’m sure he’d get a bit better, but with his age, thinking he would turn into Chara or Parayko is unrealistic. He was tall. Big whoop. What kind of pro athlete turns down the chance to play with the best, and just settled for 2nd-3rd? That’s not someone with the drive to give their all. Im gonna take a page from Alflives…. The guy is a big old bustaroo. Total loser. He sucks.
  19. Not even close. Parayko is a great dman who is doing great in the NHL. He also willingly uses the body and doesn’t need to be asked by coach to play physical. Tryamkin was so so in the NHL and other than a couple highlights, played like a kitten. He sucked.
