So - Who Should The Canucks Take At The Number 9 Spot?
D.B Cooper replied to Patel Bure's topic in Canucks Talk
How do? You haven’t added anything to the conversation as usual......... He is offensively fantastic, while being piss poor defensively. He was better last year, but still not great. Where is the contradiction smart guy? -

Nope. He is like an offensively effective Jordon Subban. Straight up hot dogging all over the ice with zero regard for defence. His rookie year was waaaaay better defensively. This year he was obviously trying to put up points on a contract year. -

He played his way to the top line because our team has absolute dog Pooh for defence. The guy is one dimensional as they come. -

Quinn only plays one end of the ice. Points are great, but a defensemen is supposed to play defence. Im not saying Dobson is a better player, but he is a better dman. Because those are important factors when judging a dmans attributes. I like a dman that can put up points AND keep the puck out of the net. I love Hughes. He is fantastic, but let’s be honest. He is a horrible dman. When it comes to actually playing defence, he sucks. -
McKinnon, now there's a team player..
D.B Cooper replied to iceman64's topic in General Hockey Discussion
You missed the point. It’s playing style. Yes, McDavid would have to do all those things for his team to win, but either way he refuses to play in his own end. McKinnon plays to win. 200ft game. If McDavid played in Colorado, he still wouldn’t play in his own end. Why would he? He doesn’t now. It’s just not his game. McKinnon back checks, blocks the odd shot, hits, etc..... If he focused 100% offence like McD, his numbers would inflate. -

While his point production wasn’t spectacular, his game was always great. He wasn’t at point per game, but still well worth his co tract, and you just knew he was gonna break out. IMO. Best player in the game right now. McDavid gets more points, but only plays one side of the ice. McKinnon is going to win cups in his career. -

If Clarke is gone at 9 (he will be) I’m hoping we take a swing for a super skilled winger. We need another solid top 6 winger. -

I bet you would! Lol I would too. A signed Reinhart is worth more than our pick. Risto isn’t a cap dump, so I doubt they are going to take our giant cap dump with just DiPietro as the sweetener. -

Get over it. He don’t love you. He is never coming back -
What a straight up skid. The kid had the world by the balls. All the talent need to make MILLIONS and not even have to leave home. The kid showed zero maturity the whole time here, then it finishes with this. I hope for the girls sake this story isn’t true, but Jake does have a reputation of being a Dbag. Zero sympathy from me. If he is guilty, I hope he ends up broke and in jail. If he is innocent........ I don’t care. Russia?

[Rumour] Washington May Look At Moving Kuznetsov
D.B Cooper replied to Chickenspear's topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
I nominate @DontMessMefor most hilarious/ridiculous post of the year for his work today. Not only did he suggest this over paid cocaine user would be a mentor for our young Russian, he suggested we trade two of our top 4 players who both out produce him, Plus a top 10 pick. Great work! -

Expansion draft: A golden opportunity for the Canucks
D.B Cooper replied to Rudo's topic in Canucks Talk
Closing in 5 years? Petey and Quinn will be 27 & 26 Brock will be 29 Bo will be 31 Sounds like the big guns are all in their prime and could use a couple 21-22 year old top 10 picks, who are 5 years into developing and are on ELC. 3-5 is when we will be legit competing. Moving those picks now is more just trying to save management’s jobs -

I’d be fine with trading Woo as well. But I’d much rather not trade the 1st. We still lack a couple future top 6/9 players, and our future dmen just don’t scream Cup team to me. It may seem like a crap shoot this year to most, but I’d bet NHL scouts are a little more confident they know what’s up. But yeah, JB and Green need the playoffs this year. Im fully expecting them to sell the future to sneak into the playoffs -

Yeah. I’m not saying send them a roster player. I want to keep Myers. Id easily send Woo for a solid Dman -

Myers is awesome. Puts up points. Also the only dman we have who plays with an edge. He is a playoff kinda guy. Getting Dumba would be redundant. Tampa is where we need to be looking for sure. -
Gang Warfare in Metro Vancouver - Out of Control?
D.B Cooper replied to DonLever's topic in Off-Topic General
Yeah. Someone went after HA publicly. And I’m sure they do from time to time, but the HA are more known for people to just disappear as opposed to a public mall shooting or something. -

USED to. The 90’s were 30 years ago. They still do their thing, but the days of public killings like the trash going on now are long gone.
