4-2 Canucks Petey

JB is in an interesting position this year, he has room up front to buy cheap ED exposable players from stacked teams. Unfortunately he has to shed cap to do so. Pearson probably being the easiest as a rental, Beagle and Roussel both have an extra year so we’d need to retain cap which may or may not be better than a summer buyout as the return for those guys is likely not going to be great Anyone he can move in the bottom six he should at this point except maybe Sutter since we don’t seem to have an heir apparent to the 3C in the system. Gaudette is not panning out any better than Granlund did. The Canucks are married to LE for another year no matter what. Regardless of where we are in the standings JB needs to be selling what he can at the TD this year. Unfortunately COVID will likely hamper many of the moves that would normally be there.

Fact: Other than Edler and Horvat every player on this team has been brought in under JB administration. Gillis inherited his key pieces from Burke and Nonis. Burke inherited his key pieces from Quinn and Keenan Go away and think about the implications of that -
In my head the year we called him up and he got blown out he was playing in the A, realize now he was still in the O.

Playing beside Myers just makes everyone look small

Anyone else hoping big brother takes offence to how little brother was treated?

Whenever Pres. Linden got up on stage in his suit during drafts I couldn’t believe how rail thin he was. He was also a beast, can close my eyes and still see Norton going through the glass

Sorry being confusing, the smaller are the easier it is to be pushed around and your own personal strength becomes important, just trying to point that out. Todd played here between 235 and 240 lbs and on ice and at 6’3” he was bigger than the Average NHL and up there as one of the strongest guys in the league. I remember an after hours on HNIC and there was another guest, I think it was Colin James being interviewed and the shear bulk of Bertuzzi was just nuts. His thighs were as thick as Colin James’s torso. Yes, there is still a chance that Jake pulls it all together, and I am rooting for him to do so, but I am perfectly ok if the Jake who scored 18 goals last year playing his game is all we ever get.
