      Apparently Tyson Yost will not be qualified. I think he's a good player to target. If the Canucks really NEED to trade for a 3C NOW, his rights should be relatively cheap, assuming he's not being qualified. He made 2M this past season, and is expected to be in the 2.5M ballpark this coming season.

      Why before the draft? Are all the 3rd line C's going to vanish or something?

      Yost is not a physical, or defensive centre. So he's not an option.

      How about we do something radical like build from within.

      Start the process of drafting and developing players instead of stop gap measures.

Once Tocchet sits JT down for a period or two over his invisible back checking and rampant stick-slamming, foul-mouthed tirades, he'll want out of here. Presto. Cap space.
