  1. That is it the GM when hired knows what the owner wants.Saying that it is the GM's job to make the team into a winner.I do think JB did listen to much to players and near the end dud everything he could to keep his job making the OEL deal.
  2. Well I agree that we would need a capable 7 th D man and that could be Schenn or Bear. But as a starter no way as we have seen so far without him the D has been better.
  3. If you look under RT coaching our team hits more and more aggressive.I really don't think bringing back Schenn is going to make a difference what's so ever. We get Johansson and Livingstone or another RHD or keep Bear there is no room for Schenn. We want to get younger and better so again no reason at all to bring him back unless for an extra.
  4. Nope he did a couple things right then everything fell apart worse then anything good.
  5. I would be happy with a RHD or two and a C. We do that and things will look great.
  6. Still was one of the better players just past his prime.Would cost more then worth to trade for one but can be done is alls I am saying.
  7. Would be nice and also trade BB 1 mill retained Myers .5 mill retained.Miller who knows if he will be here or not. Pearson and Poolman if one can play buyout. We can have cap space with or without buying out OEL. My guess is if we do bring in EP2 to start his NHL days when the penalty kicks in. So for one year maybe two we get that low cost D man.
  8. I agree with Miller in the lineup they would be better for years. If they want a cup they have thus and maybe two more years to try for one.Would have made sense to grab a Miller now for maybe 4 or so years they would be right up there as cup contenders.
  9. He seems to play with heart and has skill.I am sure in no time he will score.
  10. I think you are right, qualify him and trade him at the draft or package him retaining money with BB.Maybe get a 3C trading them both.
  11. Trade BB and a throw in either Hogs or Rathbone and our 6th rounder ,pay 1 to 1.5 mill of his salary. For a good younger 24 to 26 3C and a 3rd try for a 2nd. Pick up Livingstone and one or two more NCAA players. Get Johansson here. Trade Myers for a 2024 pick. If we trade Miller at the draft get another 3rd C or 2C and a first nothing retained.Try for another pick. OEL not sure but if makes sense buyout and if Pearson Or Poolman can play buy them out. This way we get younger, more depth and more picks for three years of players down the road. Keep as much cap space as we can. Fill holes with a LD,C,RD, backup without breaking the bank. Thus way we can bring up players to take BB's spot and others plus fill holes and should have a more complete team next year. All in all we should be good enough to fight for a playoff spot and have depth moving forward.
  12. But like last few drafts there have been surprising picks and we could get a player that falls and hit a home run.Any top ten in the draft after the first three are all good players just out odds have fallen.
  13. I don't think it will be hard.On a team with better D he would help more then hinder.
  14. To me we all knew changes were coming. So far looks like our skill level went from a 5 out of ten to a 7.5 at this time. We still need help on D mainly but getting Hronek was a step way forward. Raty might take time but hope not long. Me would give them at this point a solid B. By the start of next season might be an A if thing fall into place as seems we are going to do much more and sooner then later as they learned from last iff season.
  15. True but never know.Even then he can be traded to one if costs them 1 mill.
  16. BB with 1.5 retained should be traded easy. Myers after signing bonus pretty much free player for a year. His cap would help a team get to the cap floor paying 1 mill.He could go at the draft as the future considerations knowing that team would get him and trade him next tdl.So would be a swap a pick now for pick later. Poolman and Pearson if come back both could be bought out.If not we get money to sign others. OEL not sure but a buy out could help.We could also keep him and buyout later. Those 5 would give us tons of cap room to grab a good 3C and two D plus a good backup goalie if needed and still have cap room moving forward. So if we spent 15 mill on those we would have 7 left to resign both EP and Hronek.Plus the cap should go up 2 or 3 which would be enough. Or trade option as we have players like Rathbone,Hogs, Karlsson who could take a spot or be added to a trade to get one a D or C. Many options moving forward but we do need a little more help on the team if we do that intend to make the playoffs next year. I just still don't get Garland as he seems to be a RT type player and doing well now.But if a team would trade a needed piece and we bring up a player then I am all for it.
