  13. The Blues take on the Nasvhille Predators in what looks to be a very tough challenge for the Blues. This will be a battle of two high powered offensive teams, with both teams scoring at over 3 goals per game clip. The Blues started off the season very hot after acquiring veteran center Claude Giroux, unfortunately, CLODE disappeared down the stretch and was moved in a package to acquire future franchise center Elias Pettersson. Elias struggled to find himself down the stretch but did find his touch in the last few games of the season and hopes to carry the momentum into the playoffs. The obvious advantage in this series is the quality of the Predators blueline, which is a class above what the Blues have to offer. Despite the career season from #1 defenseman Colton Parayko and the deadline acquisition of veteran defensemen Erik Johnson and Mark Giordano for the Blues, the Predators are stacked from top to bottom defensively and should give the young Blues forwards trouble. Up front, this series will feature 4 of the top-15 scorers in the league this past season, two from the Preds in swedes Viktor Ardvidsson and Filip Forsberg, and two Blues having career years in JT Miller and Jordan Kyrou. The Blues will rely on having some of the best center depth in the league, and are hoping a fresh pair of linemates in Jordan Kyrou and Jason Zucker will be able to spark Elias Pettersson who is coming off a playoff campaign of over a p/g. Head to Head: Blues JT Miller - Dylan Larkin - Brock Boeser Jason Zucker - Elias Pettersson - Jordan Kyrou Eriksson Ek - Patrice Bergeron - Kevin Labanc Kieffer Bellows - Ivan Barbashev - Vince Hinostroza Mark Giordano - Colton Parayko Rasmus Sandin - Jared Spurgeon Brian DuMoulin - Erik Johnson Jordan Binnington Thomas Greiss Predators Filip Forsberg - Ryan Johansen - Viktor Arvidsson Kevin Fiala - Vincent Trochek - Craig Smith Vlad Namestinkov - Calle Jarnkrok - Josh Bailey Yanni Gourde - Cody Glass - Colton Sissons Roman Josi - Ryan Ellis Mattias Ekholm - Kevin Shattenkirk Jason Demers - Dante Fabbro Jusse Saros James Reimer Regular season advantages Offense: Predators Defense: Predators Powerplay: Blues PK: Predators Goaltending: Predators. In conclusion: RIP: St Louis Blues.
