  1. I like the comparison, I hope that's the case. I liked Ronning. We just need two new twin towers out there to protect our skill guys. I hope Benning isn't forgetting about that part of the equation. Yes, we need the skill guys but we also need some muscle out there come playoffs. Heck, we even get pushed around in the regular season and frankly I've had enough of that. I think the trade looks good for us in general, I just want to see how it plays out on the ice before I make any definitive stand. Go Canucks Go!
  2. I'm hoping they pick Loui. Maybe we can showcase how well he played elsewhere or maybe put some ribbons and bells on him to make him more appealing. If they don't take him it will suck, but that's the nature of expansion drafts, they're likely going to pick someone that we want to keep. We just need to get this over with as quickly as possible and move forward building a winning team. Go Canucks Go! P.S. - I hate the Las Vegas Golden Knights about as much as Bettman loves them.
  3. I'll take a cup please. I can handle 11 losing seasons after that. Heck, I've been a Canucks fan for 50 years and most of those have been losing seasons (or at least it feels like it - I didn't actually check). It would have been much more easy to bear with a cup in hand. In fact, I think I read somewhere recently that all tolled the Canucks have the worst win-loss record in the entire league. And yet we still have a solid fan base. Or in other words I don't think the economic viability of the team is in jeopardy here. Of course the team will make some more money with a winning team but
  4. In the playoffs, it's better to be on the giving end than the receiving. Go Canucks Go!
  5. I think that we need to be more aggressive during the season. That and we need to be looking under all the rocks all the time (i.e. we need to draft well and spend wisely on FAs). Go Canucks Go!
  6. So by that reasoning every team that has a losing record MUST fire their coach or they're being stupid? Yes, win-loss is an important stat but there are other things to go by as well. I want the Canucks to win as much as anybody but I think Green does too. I'm OK with the extension. This season was a weird one and I think everyone who cares about the Canucks is disappointed but I'm prepared to give the team a mulligan (just this once, cough, cough). Let's see what next season brings. Optimism isn't the only ingredient for winning either but it does help. Go Canucks Go!
  7. That sure was a late hit on Highmore, what 5-10 seconds after the whistle. GCG!
  8. Does anyone watch online on Bila Sport? If so, I'm wondering if others keep getting their stream interrupted by Tila Sport? What's up with that? What are they and where did they come from? That aside Canucks are actually playing pretty well considering how many regulars are out. If I can watch for more than 5 minutes without getting interrupted. Go Canucks Go!
  9. Change is inevitable. Growth is optional. Go Canucks Go!
  10. It depends on the context. Sure, sometimes a GIF or a picture can add something so yes I overstated it. But in this case it was just an obvious attempt to aggravate me (especially the second one). Anyway, it's not such a big deal. It's just that the tankers really annoy me because I'm an athlete myself and I would never ever take my foot off the pedal just to get a slightly better draft pick, and if any of my teammates did I'd be pretty pissed off. It's not professional. And even if one isn't a pro, it's still an insult to everyone involved not to try one's hardest to win all the time.
  11. Tanking is always moronic IMHO. Winning is never a bad option. It's in fact the only goal of any sport or game. I'd fully support winning out the season and snuffing out the Flames. If not, what are we here for? Are we fans of the draft (i.e. the business side of things) or fans of hockey? Go Canucks Go!
  12. Me neither, to be honest. I'm just playing along for fun. Go Canucks Go! BQ: See above.
