  1. Well I did say they need to keep it up for two more periods. Can't we at least be excited for a good start? I know, I know, I've been a Canucks fan for a very long time. I've seen it go south so many times. But anyway, it was a good start at least Go Canucks Go!
  2. Wow. What a perfect first period. We got two well deserved goals. The guy who abused our rookie got the beating he deserved. And Schiefele was rattled and way overreacting to a simple hit. Well done boys. Please keep up the intensity for two more periods. Go Canucks Go!
  3. Hmm, that didn't age well. I'll go sit in a corner now. Thanks for proving me wrong Petey. Go Canucks Go!
  4. I think he looks a bit "off" for whatever reason. He's playing OK but he's not himself, which is usually out of this world. Go Canucks Go!
  5. Looks like he can dish out the hits but he can't take them. I like the jump so far from our side. Go Canucks Go!
  6. How painful is it to be a Canucks fan? That one hurt like a crosscheck to the back. No respect from the other team or the refs. Pretty sad all around. GCG!
  7. NHL refereeing is a joke. More like WWE refereeing than any real sport. Go Canucks Go!
  8. There's no point in being too rational about it. I mean we are supposedly fans after all. As long as there is even a small chance then that's what we should be aiming for. Both players and fans should be giving everything we have to make it happen, realistic or not. Otherwise what's the point? As far as I'm concerned giving up is never an option no matter how bad things look. Go Canucks Go!
  9. Could well be. Let's hope the refs are watching so we can score some power play goals to really embarrass these clowns. Go Canucks Go!
  10. Why not? If it works, why not keep on doing it? It's one of the best ways to beat a hot goalie. Go Canucks Go!
  11. Thumbs up just for using "imprimatur" in a hockey comment. Go Canucks Go!
  12. We played more games than anyone in the first part of the season so it stands to reason that we'll get more rest for the rest of the season so, yeah it's reasonable to think that it's sustainable. It's just a matter of doing it. I still think we can make the playoffs if we keep a positive attitude and our foot on the gas. Go Canucks Go!
  13. We need both youthful exuberance and veteran experience to be successful. We've got the youth part covered. Shipping out all of our experienced vets is not a good idea. Obsessing over shiny new toys can be fun speculation for fans but balance and depth is what wins. It's less sexy though. We need some subtle changes but panicking and selling the farm during a losing streak is not good management. Go Canucks Go!
  14. If it weren't for bad luck, we wouldn't have any luck at all. Go Canucks Go !
  15. When turning it around one has to play well and not be rewarded before one can get away with being rewarded for not playing well. Go Canucks Go!
  16. I'm curious about what some of our depth guys can bring too but we gotta keep icing the most competitive lineup possible so that we can get back to winning as soon as possible. I don't think that we should write off the rest of the season just yet. Sure, it's been ugly so far, but I'm still confident that we can still turn it around and be competitive again with our current lineup. In fact I'm quite mystified as to why we're performing so poorly. We need to change something I suppose but that doesn't mean panicking and blowing it all up. Go Canucks Go!
  17. He does, so I guess we'll be looking forward to Matthews flat on his back on the ice sometime tonight. I don't think that Horvat is the problem here. I'm looking for a big effort from the whole team tonight. I haven't given up, I sure hope they haven't. Go Canucks Go!
  18. It's water under the bridge. What purpose does it serve to self-flagellate over decisions that have already been made long ago? I mean maybe we should look back if there were something to learn from it but I don't see any learning going on here, just bitching. That is counter-productive to getting back to winning. Besides we fans never know all the variables that go into decisions like that. We have to just trust that Benning and co. have the team's best interests in mind. We can win with the line-up we've got if we get it in gear and give a better coordinated effort. Crying over spilled milk isn't going to make the road ahead any easier. Go Canucks Go!
  19. No worries. Heads up boys. Keep on skating and we'll be fine. Lose confidence and we're done. Go Canucks Go!
  20. Congrats to Demko and Somani. How cool is it that real heroes are being recognized. Go Canucks Go!
  21. So basically your argument is that ownership sucks because you don't like the logo? And trying to argue that orcas are not symbolic of coastal BC is ridiculous. They have been a symbol of this area for thousands of years. Get over it. Maybe we could talk hockey instead of fashion. Hockey is more interesting as far as I'm concerned. Go Canucks Go!
  22. I just wish that they would create a little more predictable standard of what constitutes a penalty and then stick with it regardless of score, time of game, or playoffs. I know that's a lot to ask for but other sports at least attempt to do that. GCG!
