  1. Schroeder's going to need to convert to wing at the NHL level. Players like Mallet and Gaunce are always going to be better at handling 3rd/4th line centering roles. Marchand, Briere, St.Louis, Gionta etc. All these guys played center earlier in their careers but always end up on the wing in the NHL. Sedin - Sedin - Burrows Schroeder - Kesler - Booth Higgins - Lapierre - Kassian Raymond - Malhotra - Hansen He can play on line 2-4 depending on situation. Center the 2nd PP like Hodgson did last season. But he won't have the pressure of shutting down the other teams offense when he's on wing. That's a dangerous line up, tons of speed and you have numerous of options. All 4 lines of wingers are interchangeable and can play anywhere in the line-up.
  2. World Junior team is going to loaded this year. Maybe if it wasn't a lockout he would have been on the team.
  3. James Neal is a 40 goal scorer. His name is Chris ***Neil*** btw.
  4. Joe Thornton is a bad comparison, he's more of a bigger Henrik Sedin. Not that physical, passes instead of shooting. In tight checking series he dissapears. Kassian is like a Hartnell. He has enough skill to play with the 1st liners and produce. But he's also one nasty piece of business and makes the other teams go crazy.
  5. Beastmode activated. Target Located. Destroy!
  6. There's already a big difference between Kassian and Thornton/Sedin. Kassian is a mean person on the ice. He plays the game on the edge where as H.Sedin is even keeled, even if he gets punched.
  7. Isnt Jumbo Joe considered more of a big finesse player rather than a powerforward? I would say as a "powerforward" there are tons more effective than Joe. Byfuglien, Backes, Clowe, Lucic. A powerforward is more than getting points. They have to drive the net and be physical. Thornton usually does the opposite.
  8. Kassian just scored his first goal of the season
  9. The only reason the Silva fight lasted more than 5 seconds was because Silva wanted it to. He wanted to put on a bit of a show for the fans in Brazil. Too bad he won't fight Jones, they should fight at catch-weight.
  10. Silva vs Bonnar is going to go down 1 of two ways. 1 - Silva dodges a couple slow punches and side steps a take down attempt. A few seconds later Bonnar is sleeping. 2 - see #1.
  11. He should be able to dominate in the AHL this year.
  12. And Belfort does? Yeah right. Belfort's still looking for his front teeth from his last title fight.
  13. Belfort is going to get taken down and taken out in the first minute. Good job Jones, you won. When's GSP vs Condit, time for a fight.
  14. Dozens of guys aren't Chael Sonnen. Sure a bunch of no names would be like, I want the money fight!!! Hell I would volunteer to get my ass kicked, just for the pay day.
  15. Wrong look at my previous post. Silva just offered to fight on September 1st.
  16. According to Ariel Helwani's twitter: Anderson Silva offered to fight a lhw other than Jones(chael?) to save the Card. Thats a real fighter right there folks. Silva just recently fought. He's hasnt even been training like bones for a fight next weekend. Yet he's willing to fly from Brazil and fight in Las Vegas on 8 days notice. The man is 38 years old, he is a real fighter. Jones is a cocky brat.
  17. He's had 3+ months to prepare for a MORE dangerous fighter and a wrestler like Sonnen. Sonnen is the one who has everything against him. If you think for one second that a 100% prepared GSP wouldn't fight a guy like Nate Diaz with 8 days to the fight, you're kidding yourself. GSP would take the fight and send Diaz back to his brother a broken person.
  18. Sonnen is the one stepping in to a completely new weight class. He's the only fighter that was willing to fight on 8 days notice. Even that loser Bisbing fought Sonnen on 8 days notice. Jones is supposed to be the best in his division, yet he won't fight when all of the odds are stacked in his favour. Why? He probably wants to watch 8 months of tape on Sonnen before fighting him. Sonnen doesn't need that, he's a real fighter. As for title shots, Sonnen was the only fighter who agreed to step in. It's not his fault that nobody else would step up. Jones is an employee of the UFC and he is supposed to be a fighter. He's had his training camp, he has prepared to fight a wrestler already.
  19. Hendo tears his MCL. Jones rejects a fight with Chael Sonnen on 8 days notice. What a coward Jones is. Even that arrogant annoying loser Bisbing fought Sonnen on 8 days notice. Now the entire event has been cancelled because Jones is scared of what will happen if he fights Chael. So, the Toronto card is now UFC 151 instead of 152. Machida is slated to fight Jones, if Jones rejects Machida I see him being cut from the UFC. He is not bigger than the sport and he is nothing without the UFC.
  20. That was a terrible stoppage, way too late. It reminded me of the Rashad Evan's/Forrest Griffin fight. Munoz was clearly finished and the ref let an additional 6-8 hammers crack his head open. Weidman vs Silva is next, then Lombard.
  21. Jensen - Gaunce - Kassian Lined up against: Hall - Hopkins - Yakupov Men against boys.
  22. Apparently Cody Hodgson's foot speed applies to all of our prospects forever.
