  1. First time I heard this I switched channels and landed on this song part-way through when he was sitting on the sidewalk. At first I thought it was the dude from Black-Eyed Peas. I thought "They finally made a decent song(lyrically)." Wrong again I guess. except where is the love
  2. He has some great songs with Cold Chisel and with Joe Bonamassa and other collaborators, but this is my favourite for some reason.
  3. These songs were dedicated to friends who have passed. RIP Bill.
  4. Nice. My @##$#$#$ got hammered at the Nature of the Beast concert. I guess his head started spinning and he said he had to leave. I told my bud to get his bud to take care of him. I followed him out and it was a good thing because he started groping any woman within reach on the way out; both hands out to either side. I had to fend off a couple of angry boyfriends. He was kind of speed staggering so I had to do it while keeping up with him. His bud catches up to us at the lobby area and asks why he has to take care of him. I told him " You fed him the booze, now you get to watch him." They went to a park across the street and listened to the concert from outside. My #&^%$@# was slightly less drunk by the time the concert was over. He claims to not remember the groping. One of his first times getting drunk. Edit: I would like to add that he has never done anything like that since.
  5. Yeah, maybe because it isn't one of their big ones. Some people want live stuff to sound just like the original. I always like different musicians' added bits on live versions of songs. It gets boring playing the same stuff the same way.
  6. RIP to Don Williams. I am playing these two together because I am reminded of drinking with my buddy listening to Communique when his mom comes home and promptly drags the needle across the album while saying "Get this crap off of there". She then put a Don Williams record on. After that I would warn him that his mom is home so he could take off the rock etc. and put on the country. She was a great person, just didn't like our music.
  7. He's got an upstream battle, but I think he can get 12-17 g (salmons on ice) from the 4th line.(dynamics of 4th lines changing) I'm not just fishing for pluses either.
  8. I think I've seen April Wine and Triumph live more than any other bands. Always a good show.
  9. So where do we sign up for one of those astro-turfing jobs?
  10. No such thing as too much Knopfler.
  11. Very jealous! I haven't seen her live in years. She used to have a super energetic stage presence. One of my favourites!
  12. I think Granlund is going to have a good season for us. I liked his attention to detail on both sides of the play last year and think he will continue to play a solid two-way game.
