  1. A junior program!!! Do you even know what you are talking about. Every year there is something called The World Juniors. Most hockey fans are aware of this. Guess what? Bo is already on their roster. Linden, Benning and Willie have all said at one point or another that they want him to have that experience. I'll take their words over yours every time.
  2. Why do we "need" to stop focusing on his usage by our coach. There is a good chance that we have players in Utica that could play unsheltered minutes. Why does he get consideration over them? The reason is simple; he is getting a taste of the NHL and he is being shown first-hand which parts of his game needs work. He will be loaned to the Junior program and will probably get sent down after the tournament. Why is that such a bad thing?
  3. LA has 6 players under 200 lbs. Vancouver has 14. Size is definitely a factor.
  4. My guess is that Bo will be loaned to the Junioir program. Benning will keep him under 9 games and they will make a decision on him after the world Juniors. I still think he will be sent down after the tourney.
  5. Yeah. I agree that it is a crapshoot sometimes. I just think that the signs point to him going back down.
  6. Bo has skills; the question is, do we want to fast track him? The obvious drawback is that we burn a year off his contract; meaning he will be a UFA that much sooner and his salary may escalate unnecessarily. Because of those variables, I see him being sent down before the 9 game limit.
  7. According to Wiilie D we do. He said he likes Horvat at center, but we have too many right now. He likes Mathias up the middle because of his size and skillset. If Horvat stays, who does he replace?
  8. I still think that Bo will get sent down. We have too many centers as it is. Perhaps the trade rumour is true.
  9. I know. That is why I originally voted to keep him. In retrospect I decided that we need to get bigger to be competitive in our division. Playoffs is where it counts most and I believe that he may be rendered ineffective with a large body leaning on him in a 7 game series. Schroeder, Shinkaruk, and Santo are smallish players. Benning and Trevor have some tough decisions to make.
  10. 20/20 hindsight. At the time, the league gave every indication that the style of play and officiating would change. Unfortunately it continued to change and the changes always seem to benefit American markets. How heavy you are allowed to play is dependant on which team you are on. Example: Philly fans complained that they were not allowed to play as physically as most other series. It was true and favoured NY. We will never be on the right end of the calls, so we need to get bigger in order to make it harder for the refs to manipulate our games. That is not good news for Schroeder, Santo, and maybe even Shink.
  11. In our division we need a big d-man to handle the big men on teams like LA, SJ, and Anaheim. Edler does have the tools whether the haters want to admit it or not. We need him or someone like him.
  12. Is it still possible to loan players to Europian teams. That would be one option. Schroeder has skill and has been very effective for us at times. This is a tough one. I'd hate to just give up on him.
  13. Benning said we need to get bigger and faster. Santo is fast, but he is small. I'm not sure if he will fit here. I like the guy, but we need to start thinking long term. I change my vote to no.
  14. I don't care about the theories. How does some loudmouth ex-ref being a dick make the theories look insane. You desperately want this to be a lie don't you? It's not! Now you insult my parents. Yeah, that's not a douchebag move nor is it something a scumbag would do.
  15. What changes to my story cannot be attributed to a quick response. The story is the same and you have offered absolutely nothing. Why do you think it your job to defend the League, the owners , and the refs. By the way I said you were behaving like a scumbag and you were in douchebag territory. I stand by that.
  16. It's funny but I don't think that the League is rigged. I think they manipulate outcomes for maximum monetary benefit and US growth. You say you sit on the fence but your responses clearly put you on the League side. You pretend to be on the fence so you can pretend to be the voice of reason. You really are being a scumbag!!! You've repeatedly called me a liar with nothing to back it but your need to defend the refs. The story is the same with different words. It happened and no amount of your denial will change that fact.
  17. So that's what you key in on. You are always acting like the voice of reason, but always take the League view. Sometimes you come off as a uppity ole granny. It probably would have been a one time thing, but then you accused me of lying. You don't know me but I am very honest and have a thing about lying. I consider myself to be honest to a fault. The conversation happened. We were talking about reffing in various small communities. An ex-ref interrupted us and bragged about manipulating games. He did it in an obnoxious manner and was basically goading us. His friends added a few nuggets. I get that it is your job to protect the league interest. I'm not a liar grandma.
  18. Ok grandma. let's not. When did I say he was my friend. The guy is an arrogant douchebag. He is definately not my friend. I don't want to hear from you because you have nothing real to offer. All you have is liar liar pants on fire. I will continue to reiterate that the conversation did take place. You can desperately call me a liar all you want. I will simply re-state the fact.
  19. You are now officially in douchebag territory grandma. The reason I asked if you reffed is because I would like to hear from a ref or ex ref on this subject. If you think about it, it makes sense. Most refs start young when they can't play hockey but still want to be involved in the game. They usually ref younger children from their local team. The parents screaming at them and threatening them are people they have to deal with on a regular basis. They start out with a bias. they move up to better leagues, but still ref local teams. The first few years most refs ref with a bias for the local teams. It's not hard to imagine that they would continue manipulating games or that they learn how early. That they magically become honest and beyond reproach is harder to believe.. The conversation did take place, whether you like it or not. Refs or ex-refs please respond.
  20. Yes I did. Very astute of you. You just called me a liar. Pretty slimy tactics grandma! The conversation did take place just like I said it did. This guy interrupted our conversation about crappy officiating to rub in different ways in which he manipulated games. His buddies threw a couple more in. I don't give a flying crap if you believe me or not. Once again, is there any actual refs or ex-refs who would care to comment? Did you ref grandma?
  21. Man, you lurk on here pretending to be the voice of reason. You always seem to take the League view. Coincidence of course, right grandma? The main guy doing the yapping was already no longer a ref, He wasn't at the highest level. He didn't admit to game fixing; he bragged about manipulating games. We did not solicit his opinion. He interrupted a conversation we were having about towns which, in our experience, had the worst reffing. We were from different areas, so it was an interesting conversation. Once again, we did not ask for his opinion. This occurred in North Vancouver. Any actual refs or ex-refs care to comment?
  22. They are the most capable. That doesn't make them honest. Do you know any refs personally? I ask that because I do know refs. They laugh about manipulating games. They have to know how to manipulate games or they don't advance. Examples: Overkill-call every little thing, Momentum killer-call a penalties to stop momentum from certain team, Letting out line and reeling them back in-letting teams do what they want then call the other team when they try to do the same. These are just a few of the methods used by refs. Any refs care to comment? Is there even one honest ref out there?
  23. Wrong!! I did watch and it appears that Linden also watched.
  24. Many people keep saying that we need players to play with Kes. My issue is that the past two coaches both made comments about Keslers inability or refusal to work with his team-mates. As he is our 2nd line center who some want to be 1st line center, I find that disturbing. His ego is too large. I now hope that he is traded and we get a decent return for him. We need a player that cares more about winning than being the "man".
  25. You can say that about any single bad call. The issue is all the ridiculously bad calls being made every season and every Playoffs. When you look at them cumulatively, there is obvious reason for concern. I know the League reps will say: Do you know how crazy you sound/where's your tinfoil hat; Do you know how many people would have to know about it; or They're only human. That is all they seem to have to offer.
