I just posted that in the Podz thread. I didn't read this until just now though.

His smile reminded me of Ruutu's smile and how it used to annoy people.
-
Pod's skate came up and caught him in the family jewels. I hope that wasn't intentional. There was a lot of sneaky accidentally on purpose stuff in this game.

Nice try. You claimed that I put him at 6' 4" because of the more than three inches comment. Why don't you just admit that you screwed up on the math.
-
The shortest guy is listed at 5' 10". More than three inches puts him taller than 6" 1" I was going by the photo and even put in the caveat that the heights of the other players may be off which would affect the comparison. Going strictly by the photo and the other players listed heights, he is at least 6' 2" At no point did I claim that he was 6' 4".

I saw the same. He played a good positional game, made smart plays, and worked hard. It's not his fault that Russia's team game wasn't clicking and other players were out of sync with one another. They were fumbling easy set plays and got out worked. When they did get chances the Czech goalie made some nice saves. I thought Pod himself played not great but steady and consistent. Now that he's scored, hopefully he will relax and play some more good hockey. His passing, vision, and anticipation were great but his defensive awareness has been under appreciated by the people looking solely at his offensive output. His board work was impressive as well.

Out of curiosity, I right clicked-viewimage-magnify by 200% the image then scrolled the top of Pods head to the shortest guy. Scrolling back up you can see the difference is definitely more than three inches. If they over-stated the other guys height then that would obviously affect things though.

[Report] Jack Roslovic requests trade

Maybe the Jets would like Ferlands LTIR potential with a few players this way that way. Little covers that for them. should have checked capfriendly before posting. Ferland lives in Manitoba so I was hoping I guess. -
[Report] Jonathan Toews out indefinitely.

I think it was covid. My daughter had mild fever with fatigue and muscle weakness. I got sick after her and it was way worse symptoms for me. I had no email access and my phone was out of minutes so I just rode it out. I almost tried to drag myself to emergency but didn't. A while back I was refused a serology test to see if I had it in the past. They said it probably wouldn't be conclusive. I still wonder if that's true. -

Phantom call. Two minutes for lifting your stick to waist level in the vicinity of a hawk. Haha, kidding. I consider Johnny Toes to be a high character guy and I doubt that he's faking. I suffered from fatigue for months after I got sick last March. Other weird symptoms as well. -
I attended a wedding in a park in Abbotsford. It was actually a very nice wedding. Good luck. Treat each other with dignity and respect. Calm down before discussing (arguing about) important things. It's hard to listen to your heart when your mind is angry.

Kieth Baldry was saying that they did less testing on Christmas and boxing day. I wonder if they caught up with any backlog or if the results are skewed slightly downward. Add new variants and holiday get togethers and we may see a trend in the other direction soon. I hope not.

A lot of supermarkets deliver groceries. I'm sure you're aware of this, but others may not be. It might be a good time for people to start considering that option for a while.

Happy new years. Be better 2021, be better!

A bit of both but in a high pedestrian traffic area. My daughters glasses fog up as well but she still wears her mask. I was specifically talking about a certain segment who for some reason intentionally veer close to others with a big grin or smirk on their faces. When it gets cold, you can see the particles drifting before dissipating. The closer you are to someone the higher the chance of breathing some in. The new variants bind to the lungs more readily. It's not a guarantee that you don't accidentally infect someone just because you happen to be outside. Giving people space shouldn't be that big of an ask. Thank you for not making an assumption just to pretend to be morally superior.

The Czecks upped their physicality and collapsed to their net. The Russians still kept moving the puck around the outside and never tried to get more than one player battling in the front of the net. When a player did go to the front, the puck was rarely put to the front at the same time. Larionov should have gotten his guys to get inside and battle in the dirty areas more. Since it is a team game, I watched Pod to see what he did with and without the puck. I saw a lot of smart plays and he was in good position almost always. I think he will be a good two way player who can eventually match up against top players while contributing some offense. Our skills coaches can help him with his stance and skating. I don't think he goes straight to the top 6 though. Unless we have injuries.
