I should have elaborated. The bee girl was on the show I Can See Your Voice the night before you posted the video. She can't hold a note though. I considered posting but I can only listen to songs a few times a year(s) or they start getting stuck in my head. Coincidentally, also the reason I may not upvote a good song. It's never anything personal.

Sharing Thoughts on Covid, Hockey and Other Things (Warning TLDR)
RWMc1 replied to -DLC-'s topic in White Noise
Okay, I'm going to share something personal here! In early March, my daughter started getting mild fever and fatigue and muscle weakness. I had to leave work to pick her up from school several times as well as coming from home several times as well. It wasn't known yet that those were symptoms of COVID. I kept her home the week before spring break. I started getting sick soon after. I missed a few days of work before we closed it up because of the virus. We are just getting going again soon. Anyway, I didn't know that voice messages cost me 28 cents per until after COVID hit. I got a ton of messages and it drained my phone. I didn't even get to check the messages as they only hold them for 5 days. My computer started glitching because I couldn't get security updates because of a key? I suddenly had no phone and no email access.(doesn't recognize device). I started getting even sicker. The news told people not to go to ER unless very ill and to get a hold of your doctor by phone etc.instead. It got to the point of incredible pain in my chest and every time I coughed it was like an equalizer jumping upwards and downwards at the same time. Pain and weakness and all sorts of other symptoms. My biggest fear was passing away in the night and my daughter finding me. I couldn't put her through that, so I planned to walk some where else or try to get to ER if I could if it got much worse. I actually put my shoes and coat on for several nights and sat in the dark terrified to fall asleep. Thankfully, I started getting better and eventually recovered. I have been getting recurring symptoms since then and my daughter has as well. I want to get tested to find out if we had it back then. Years ago I injured myself at work. My doctor said muscle sprain if it gets worse come back and see me and promptly went on an 8 week vacation. His replacement refused to do any tests even though the injury got more and more painful instead of getting better in 7-10 days. They stuck to muscle sprain and I got no diagnostic tests and no proper treatment. Years later they have found a broken rib that healed funny along with cartilage damage along the rib which comes out of place from time to time and takes around 6 weeks to settle back down once it is put back in place. They also found an enlarged muscle beneath my scapula with fatty masses indicating a previous muscle tear beneath the scapula. I now also have arthritis and bone spurs. Chronic pain and discomfort causes me to have anxiety attacks and depression. Doctors have tried to put me on Oxy for pain. When I refuse they say, I guess you're not in that much pain then. I had a severe reaction to an anti-depressant which almost killed me. Now I am very leery of pharmaceuticals. Doctors now don't want to do things for me that other people take for granted. A doctor once apologized for not being able to help me and said that they are there as gatekeepers and decide who gets treatment and who doesn't. He now practices in another province. So, I wanted to know what kind of test to ask for so I don't get a run around from my doctor. I got some decent replies from several posters and then a series of smug responses from a poster who was never trying to be helpful, but instead chose to be a condescending d-bag. CDC at its finest. -
Gripe? Sounds like you're just being contrarian for the sake of it. I was seriously asking for more info on the subject. You've just been twisting my words for some strange reason. I wanted to know beforehand if it was possible before I took it to my doctor. My daughter is having fatigue issues as well. Obviously I am going to follow up on that. Please stop responding to me as you are just being a jerk.

Did you even read what I typed? I specifically asked about getting tested anywhere including lab work; not just at REACH, anywhere. Had I taken them at their words, then I wouldn't even know to ask for that kind of test.

If Jake has unresolvable character issues, then the best course of action would be to play him in a lot of offensive situations next year and raise his trade value. Then next season when we have more flexibility, we can get a better return from trading him. If he grows up in that time, we can keep him. Alcohol is an addiction and he might need help. His friends probably don't call him on his bullcrap because he buys the booze and snacks and draws the groupies. I bet if he stopped footing the bills, he'd find out who his real friends are. It's about time for some serious self reflection on his behalf. That lifestyle puts his value lower as it affects his play. Party 3rd and 4th liner or wake the %^$# up and be a top player. Time's running out.

Are you trying to say that because they didn't have tests in March, that they can't test now???? I went in yesterday to find out if I had it in March. I re-phrased my question several times to make sure they understood that I was asking a general question about getting a test at any place and not necessarily there. I never specified to them that I may have had it in March. Two different people said that it wasn't possible to check if you've had COVID in the past.

One of the media reported that Loui's agent said that a team was interested in him if we retain salary. If there is actually a team interested in him, then he should mutually terminate and sign for cheap. He's already raked in a lot of money. Do the right thing Loui. Just one more little thing for the fans, who've treated you so well.

My daughter and I were both sick in March and April. Testing was just starting and the media said don't go to ER unless very ill. I rode it out, but I keep feeling sick again and again for a few days or even more. I was dropping off a book at a library off of Commercial and there was a REACH clinic there. I dropped in quickly to ask them about it and they told me that it wasn't possible to tell if you had COVID in the past. There's no test for that. Is this true or did REACH clinic lie to my face? Anyone know? Much appreciated if you do!

We just have to ask nicely.

If we waive Baertschi and Loui, that brings us to slightly over 4 million in cap. I believe that Virtanen will sign a deal before arbitration and the rest can hopefully be enough to sign Gaudette. Moving salary is not necessary but would be very beneficial in signing another D-man. Maybe we can move a left winger and a D prospect for a D-man.

We need a team like Jersey or Ottawa to take one of our guys for a 7th or something. Maybe Buffalo might want one of our players if they are trying to be competitive to appease Eichel. We are in a position that we move out a player at least or go with the guys we have and waive a few players later. We actually have plenty of time, but teams like Jersey and Ottawa are salivating waiting for teams to cave and give decent players up at bargain basement prices.
