Take off the rose colored glasses and have an honest assessment of him. He just won't be an nhl regular he will service Utica well but doesn't have the talent to make it in the big leagues. I would love nothing more than to be wrong on him but I've watched a tonne of his games and he just doesn't have it. He's great with great linemates but can't carry a line. Of course Green is going to be positive on him, what do you think he's going to bash him in public like Suter did? Don't compare him to Bo, useless argument. And no foot speed is not the only thing holding him back.

Move Horvat to second line center and drop Bonino to the third line. Horvat has been our best forward to date and would love to see what he would do with more talented wingers: Sedins with Vrbata Burrows Horvat Baertschi Higgins Bonino Mathias Hansen Richardson Dorsett. This lineup would be very effective in this serious. Sedin line gets a sniper, Horvat and Baertschi would be a nightmare for flames D, 4th line would forecheck like a mofo!

That's an awful trade for the canucks. Need some NHL proven talent if Kesler goes: Something like a top 6 forward, prospect and 1st rounder. Close to what Ottawa paid for Bobby Ryan but Kesler is worth more. Sens gave up a first rounder and Silverberg.

IAn Esplen is a complete phony. He has no backup for this claim just pulling it out of his arse. He is mentored by Eklund.

Alexandre Daigle or Patrick Stefan anyone? How bout rick dipietro? Giving up Horvat and 6th for first overall in this years draft it a risk this organization cannot take. Reinhart would be great but not a slam dunk stud by any means. If any of the top 5 fall to 6 the trade would not look favorably at all and given that most teams have a different top 8 I think this is not the year to take the risk.

This is a pick I would trade if the right deal came along for the nucks...cough evander kane cough. Evander is better then anyone we will get at 6th and would look dynamite next to kesler. He's only 22, big, fights, scores, hometown boy. If he gets some good guidance here which i'm sure everyone's loverboy linden will give him then he is a potential superstar. And at 22 he is very young and will finally give kesler someone to play with. Would also mean kesler/kane would allow sedins to be the best second line in the league!

If Torts is the guy turfed for this mess then this team and organization becomes an even bigger joke then it already is. Gillis should fall before Torts. In fact, their whole scouting department should be turfed before Torts is let go.

Prices were crap for players today. If the reported offer from pens was sutter, 1st and depress i'm glad gillis said no. Now he needs to make moves at or before draft and maybe explore the market for the sedins as well, if you are going to blow it up all decks on hand.

any tampa return will not include Connolly, he is awful and a total bust. played 63 games 3 years ago for tbay but has only played 15 since. With his concussion history as well no way would I touch him in a kesler deal.

Yeah he got good returns for those two, keep in mind keslers return should at least be equal to that if not more. Kes is the same type of player Richards is (if not better) and has a way more attractive contract then what Richards has.

Gardiner, Kardri and first would be a crap return. Only good if it is Reilly, Kadri and first. Gardiner wouldn't make out D given our depth. Plus TO should be paying a premium cause they deserve 2.

Hopefully philly bucks up as the pens offer to date is awful. A bunch of useless parts for a stud top center with a friendly cap. Maybe just maybe nucks move Edler for bobby ryan and bam kesler has his winger!

And no way is kesler moved for a bunch of guys that are either 3rd liners or B pool prospects. Guys like kesler are a very rare commodity and if the guys you mention above are not part of any package then Kesler is going nowhere. He still has 2 years left on his contract at a very good 5m cap hit so the pens, flyers and jackets can either pony up or keep what they got.
