Read the full report. It’s disgusting and I feel so bad for him. Basically it derailed what could have been a promising career and probably cost him millions in career earnings. Most importantly, the trauma he experienced will live on with him forever. Kudos for coming out the way he did. I have an extremely hard time believing some of the players say they didn’t know the extent of what happened and were unaware of who it was. Stuff like that would have spread like wildfire in an NHL locker room and once word got of a coach and a player doing something inappropriate everybody would be asking each other what they knew of it. There will be a day of reckoning where the players will have to answer the bell and finally admit they knew more than what they are leading us to believe.

All I can say is the team on paper, given all the roster moves made this offseason, and playing in a weak division, there is zero reason why this isn’t a playoff team. They have the horses up front, strong goaltending, and with Hamonic coming back into the fold, a formidable defence that should be able to hold its own. Out of the 7 games I’ve seen, only the Detroit and perhaps Edmonton game they really mananged a full 60 minute performance. Other than that, it’s been the same ol, lacklustre, unenthusiastic hockey where players are still making bad decisions with the puck and the team cannot sustain any sort of regular pressure with the puck 5 v 5. It seems as if a lot of them don’t have their heads in the game and are simply going through the motions. They have to hold their fair share of the blame too, but a new voice is what’s needed to kickstart these guys and get them playing to their potential.

Shades of Willie D riding Megna and Chaput. There really isn’t much difference between the two coaches from my perspective other than one didn’t have nearly the amount of young talent than the one we have behind the bench now.

The way I see it is you can’t afford to give away points too early too often in the season as we all know the playoff race usually comes down to the final couple days of the season. They need to kick it in high gear ASAP or else they will be playing catch up for 2/3’s of the season

How many more uninspiring, lacklustre performances does this team get before a change needs to be made? The way I see it is they will eek out some wins here and there but this brand of hockey doesn’t exactly reek of sustainability to get into the playoffs. Way too much talent to be laying eggs on a regular basis.

And here I thought he was playing well and didn’t look out of place on that top line. But no, more Chiasson, more Highmore.

How are Wild players getting behind the Canucks D so effortlessly tonight? At least 4 times now. Canucks need an injection of life because these lacklustre performances are getting old fast and it’s only been a handful of games
