  1. Lulay probably wasn't at his best, although it was hard to tell with the Swiss cheese offensive line in front of him, but the play calling was the thing that had me shaking my head. Where were the adjustments ? The Als were overloading the line of scrimmage and that creates holes in the secondary. We should have been watching the receivers rip up the field on quick slant patterns but instead we got Harris running into a wall. To me this is mostly on Chapdelaine
  2. Deslauriers played that catch perfectly, he got position on Marsh and slowed down just enough to bump him a little, kill his momentum and take him out of the play.
  3. I've never heard of it happening but your question reminded me of something I've wondered about lately so I went and looked it up. The '88-'89 season was last time all teams had to play back to back games in the playoffs. They didn't have them by that point but the old 1st round 5 game series would be played in 7 days. 7 game series just had 2 extra games with a day off before each of them
  4. Where did Tollefsen buy his cloak of invisibility ?
  5. Why isn't this asshole banned already ?
  6. for some reason Gretzky hated playing against Murzyn
  7. I'm thinking of a Canuck, he was one of the highest drafted defencemen ever to play for the Canucks, he played for 3 NHL teams and he owns a butcher shop. Name that Canuck !
  8. Threatening to go play in the KHL has turned into one hell of a negotiating tactic.
  9. Get the NHL Network or ESPN Classic, I'm watching a Canucks vs. Rangers game from 1997, Messier's first game against his old team. Gretzky has a hattrick and 5 points so far
  10. I think Sather did it in New York around 10 years ago for a bit but only because he fired the coach and stepped behind the bench himself to finish out a season. Pat Quinn ?
  11. This is one of those years where Canada could ice 2 really strong teams at the WJCs. Some very good players are going to be left off that squad.
  12. The Memorial Cup is in London this year so they're guaranteed a spot
